
At approximately 9:30 AM on May 27th, in the sea area with coordinates 19°44'300"N - 106°19'700"E, the fishing vessel TH-92188 TS, owned and captained by Mr. Tran Van Ninh (born in 1990, residing in Trung village, Tien Trang commune), experienced a work accident during fishing operations.
According to initial information, at the time of the incident, the two fishing vessels were alongside each other at sea, providing mutual support.
While working, Mr. Tran Tuan Vu (born in 1993), the chief engineer of the ship, residing in Trung village, Tien Trang commune, was struck hard on his left arm by the side of the ship, resulting in a fractured forearm and significant blood loss. There were 8 workers on board at the time.
Following the accident, the captain contacted the Sam Son Border Guard Station requesting urgent assistance.
The unit dispatched one speedboat along with five officers and soldiers to the scene to organize the rescue operation.
Due to rough seas, approaching the vessel proved difficult. However, the Border Guard forces managed to reach the vessel, provide first aid, stop the bleeding for the victim, and bring him ashore.
At approximately 1 PM on the same day, the victim was safely brought to Lach Hoi Fishing Port and transferred to Thanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital for further treatment.
