CBS News quoted information from Mr. Biden's office saying that the former US President was diagnosed with prostate cancer that has metastasized to his bones. Doctors are currently considering treatment options for him.
Last week, former President Biden was re-examined after a small tumor was discovered in his prostate.

In a social media post on May 18, US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania "were saddened to hear of Joe Biden's recent health diagnosis."
"We wish Mr. Biden a speedy recovery," President Trump wrote.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men, second only to skin cancer, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Although all men are at risk for prostate cancer, age is the most common risk factor, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
"The older a man is, the higher his risk of developing prostate cancer," the CDC says.
