A funding plan has been devised.

On September 29th, the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien- Hue province held a meeting with Hue International General Hospital Joint Stock Company, the investor of the international hospital project on the prime land at 2 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Phu Hoi Ward (Hue City), to announce the establishment of a team to inspect the construction progress of the project.

The inspection team from the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien-Hue province worked with the project's investor.

According to the inspection team's representative, the delay in the progress of the international hotel-specialty hospital project has been monitored by the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial People's Council, which issued a resolution including it in the list of projects requiring inspection and handling. The Provincial People's Committee also issued a document requesting the Department of Planning and Investment to inspect and report on the proposed solutions.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hue International General Hospital Joint Stock Company, stated that the project was behind schedule due to many objective and subjective reasons, such as the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the company's difficulties in raising capital.

According to Mr. Duc, the company has invested more than 250 billion VND in the project so far. The construction has basically completed the rough structure with a scale of 2 basement floors and 15 above-ground floors on an area of ​​more than 2,500 ^m2 and is continuing to be completed. Currently, the company has a plan for further investment.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duc, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hue International General Hospital Joint Stock Company (on the right), pledged that the necessary capital has been secured to continue implementing the project.

"This is the only project in Thua Thien-Hue to date that has used only the company's own capital and has not borrowed a single penny. This is a project we are passionate about and we are serious about it, so we are committed to investing in accordance with the law and on schedule as required by the province in the coming time," said Mr. Nguyen Xuan Duc.

Previously, in the prime real estate area at the intersection of Ly Thuong Kiet, Nguyen Tri Phuong, and Hanoi streets (Hue City), there was a project for a 5-star hotel complex, international convention center, and office building, invested in by Song Da Real Estate Company, which started in 2003. The project was later transferred to VIWASEEN Hue Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company, which then further transferred it to Thanh Dat Housing Business Joint Stock Company.

By 2017, after 15 years (2003-2017) of sluggish investment, the project was transferred to Hue International General Hospital Joint Stock Company to invest in an international hotel-specialty hospital project. The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien-Hue province also issued a document agreeing in principle to allow the conversion of the project's function from a supermarket, office building, hotel, conference center, etc. (currently under construction at 2 Nguyen Tri Phuong Street, Phu Hoi Ward, Hue City) into an international hotel-specialty hospital project.

Two investment projects are behind schedule. The international hospital (on the left, in blue) has basically completed its structural work, while the VNPT building project at 4 Hanoi Street (Hue City) remains unfinished.

According to the plan, the inspection team from the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien Hue province will conduct an inspection within 30 days and require the enterprise to sign a commitment agreement on the progress. Afterwards, the inspection team will report the results to the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province for further action.
