In parallel, many retail businesses and supermarkets in Dong Nai city have proactively implemented various incentive programs to support the consumption of local agricultural products.
In response to the Vietnam Goods Week Program
According to the Dong Nai City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, the Vietnam Goods Week 2026 will take place from May 25th to 31st in Dong Nai province. Businesses, shopping centers, supermarkets, and convenience stores will participate with many promotional programs, discounts, and special offers for Vietnamese goods. These include various agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune One Product) products to encourage consumers to purchase and learn more about local products.
According to Nguyen Van Linh, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center: This year's Vietnam Goods Week program aims to continue effectively implementing the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods," contributing to building a culture of consuming domestic goods. It also aims to create a vibrant shopping atmosphere, promote the circulation of goods, and support businesses in the city in developing production and business activities.
In particular, the program also encourages consumers to become more aware of and consume more domestic products and services through promotional programs implemented widely at sales points throughout the city, especially OCOP products and high-quality Vietnamese goods.
According to Do Doan Thanh, Head of Marketing at Co.opmart Dong Xoai (Binh Phuoc Ward): "At the beginning of summer, the supermarket organizes many similar regional agricultural product festivals to support the consumption of Vietnamese goods, promote OCOP products, and enhance the shopping experience for customers. This contributes to promoting regional agricultural products, spreading the value of Vietnamese cuisine , and bringing local specialties closer to consumers."
Activities aimed at promoting brands, honoring agricultural products, regional specialties, and key products of localities were also organized in Dong Nai. A highlight was the Dong Nai City Golden Cashew Festival 2026, held from May 22nd to 24th, which attracted over 20,000 visitors who came to explore, experience, and purchase local agricultural products and specialties.
Connecting consumers to specialty fruits.
One of the large-scale annual events aimed at promoting and enhancing the value of Southern Vietnam's specialty fruits is the Southern Vietnam Fruit Festival. This is the 22nd year the festival has been held. This year's festival, themed "The Sound of the Alluvial Soil - The Flow of the Origins - Continuing the Culture," features many new elements and will take place from May 31st to August 30th.
According to the organizer, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, the 2026 Southern Fruit Festival will feature many outstanding activities. These include a specialty fruit market themed "The Sound of the Sweet Fruit Season." The market space will bring together hundreds of high-quality fruits and agricultural products from various regions across the country, offering a fascinating journey to discover the sounds of the sweet fruit season. The fruit market will also create a space for connecting visitors with farmers, especially offering experiences related to agricultural life at Suoi Tien Farm such as: picking fruit in the orchard, cycling to explore the farm, and learning about high-tech agricultural models… Particularly, the highlight of this year's festival is the giant fruit sculpture "The Sound of the Alluvial Soil" – a central art installation inspired by the fertile alluvial soil of Southern Vietnam…
In Dong Nai, many supermarkets and convenience store chains in the city have implemented various activities to promote and support the consumption of local agricultural products and specialty summer fruits. Boosting the sale of local agricultural products and domestic fruits not only contributes to providing consumers with fresh, nutritious products but also supports Vietnamese agricultural products and helps farmers find markets for their produce.
Trang Phuc, a representative from the Marketing Department of Co.opmart Bien Hoa (Tam Hiep Ward), shared: Summer is the time when the demand for fresh fruit increases significantly. Accordingly, fruit consumption at the supermarket from the beginning of May until now has increased by about 15% compared to the same period last year and by 27% compared to the previous month. To meet the increased shopping and consumption demand in the summer of 2026, Co.opmart Bien Hoa will implement a program to introduce and sell a diverse range of specialty fruits with abundant supply, guaranteed quality, and stable prices to serve customers.
Supermarkets also implement many attractive promotional programs and price discounts to stimulate consumer demand, helping consumers easily access quality fruit products at reasonable prices. Currently, some fruits such as durian, dragon fruit, lychee, watermelon, etc., are being offered at attractive discounts of up to 30%.
