Recognizing external information dissemination as a crucial task, the Provincial Steering Committee for External Information Affairs and its affiliated agencies and units have annually intensified external information dissemination efforts through various means, such as electronic information websites and social media; exchanging and providing information to central and local press agencies; and organizing exchange activities, meetings, and interactions. Based on the general orientation, the province's agencies and units have concretized their tasks and implemented many synchronized solutions to enhance the effectiveness of external information dissemination.

At the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department has recently collaborated with experienced units in the fields of foreign affairs and defense to produce media products serving foreign information dissemination. At the same time, the Department has also regularly updated provincial information to promptly serve the leadership, direction, and management of the Party Committee and government; promoted cooperation and introduction of Lang Son Geopark, as well as participated in activities of the UNESCO Geopark Network…

According to Ms. Le Hai Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department has regularly coordinated with central and local press agencies to promote foreign affairs and position Lang Son's image with other provinces and the world . In particular, it has intensified the promotion and cooperation in disseminating information about Lang Son's culture, tourism, and history. Some notable achievements include the official recognition of Lang Son Geopark as a Global Geopark, marking a significant milestone and bringing Lang Son province into the UNESCO Global Geopark Network; and the recognition of Quynh Son Tourist Village (Bac Son commune) as the best community tourism village in the world in 2025… This is an opportunity for the province to promote its brand and mark the position of Lang Son tourism on the world tourism map.

In external relations, the roles of forces such as the Provincial Police and the Provincial Border Guard Command are also clearly affirmed. For example, the Provincial Border Guard Command regularly conducts periodic and impromptu meetings, exchanges information via hotlines, sends letters, and holds direct meetings; directs border guard posts to coordinate and organize activities to disseminate legal education to the people on both sides of the border; and collaborates with border communes to compile and print leaflets for distribution to Vietnamese and foreign nationals entering and exiting through border gates.

Major Hoang Van Thu, Deputy Political Officer of Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station, shared: "The unit has focused on implementing external information work, considering it one of the key tasks to strengthen cooperation and maintain friendly relations. In addition, through bilateral patrols, the officers and soldiers also disseminate laws and border policies to the local community, contributing to raising awareness and ensuring security and order in the border area."

Furthermore, in 2025, Lang Son's Newspaper and Radio and Television broadcasts produced over 1,200 news articles and reports on the province's foreign affairs activities across various platforms; they also disseminated and published information and current events both domestically and internationally. Similarly, the Department of Foreign Affairs is effectively operating its website in three languages: Vietnamese, English, and Chinese, regularly updating information on the foreign affairs activities of the Party, the State, and the province; and developing and publishing foreign affairs newsletters and publications to promote the province's potential and strengths, and attract investment.

With practical and appropriate solutions, external information work in the province has achieved many positive results in recent times, contributing to promoting the province's image and expanding domestic and international cooperation. In the context of increasingly deep integration, further improving the effectiveness of external information work is not only a key task but also an opportunity for Lang Son to develop its potential, affirm its brand, and move towards sustainable development in the future.
