Da Nang: Group of friends disciplined for assaulting 8th-grade female student.

On December 29th, the leadership of Que Phong Secondary School in Que Son commune, Da Nang city, stated that regarding the incident where HGH, a student in class 8/1, was assaulted by a group of classmates, the school has invited the parents and students involved to a meeting to handle the matter according to regulations.

Accordingly, verification revealed that eight students participated in assaulting H., six of whom are students at the school, while the remaining two are outsiders who were identified as having engaged in coercive behavior and exerted pressure on the students within the school.

For the group of students directly involved in the assault, the school has unanimously agreed to apply disciplinary measures in accordance with Circular 19/2025/TT-BGDĐT of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Specifically, students must write a self-assessment report with confirmation and a commitment from their families to cooperate with the school in managing and educating them , helping them recognize their mistakes, learn from their experiences, and rectify the consequences of their actions.

At the same time, the conduct grades for these students in the first semester will be given the lowest possible rating. The parents of these students all agree with the school's disciplinary action.

For students who were present at the scene but did not intervene, or even encouraged the behavior, the school proposes lowering their conduct grade by one level. The final conduct grade will be reviewed by the school board, based on the student's overall performance throughout the school year.

Regarding HGH, the school has contacted the family to coordinate healthcare and psychological support for her following the incident.

To prevent similar incidents, in the coming time, Que Phong Secondary School will coordinate with the police force to strengthen legal awareness campaigns, life skills education, and behavioral awareness for students.

Earlier, on the evening of December 25th, a video circulated on social media showing a female student being beaten by several of her peers, while other students stood by, laughing and joking.

Initial verification indicates that the incident occurred at 4 PM on December 23rd in the area behind the Tan Phong village cultural center, Que Son commune.

The victim, HGH, a student in class 8/1 at Que Phong Secondary School, was hospitalized in a state of panic. Following the incident, H.'s family filed a report with the Que Son Commune Police.
