Da Nang approves the planning project for the Hillside Ecological Urban Area.

The 1/2000 scale planning for the Sườn Đồi ecological urban area has been approved by Da Nang city. This is a new urban area prioritizing the development of tourism , commerce, and services combined with residential areas, covering a total area of over 2,832 hectares.

The city of Da Nang has just issued Decision 1433/QD-UBND approving the urban ecological zoning plan for the Hillside area, at a scale of 1/2000.

The Hillside Urban Subdivision is located entirely within Hoa Vang District, encompassing the communes of Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Nhon, and Hoa Phu. The total area of this subdivision is approximately 2,832 hectares.

This is a new urban area prioritizing the development of tourism, commerce, and services combined with residential areas, with green spaces and water features distributed around Duong Ba Lang mountain.

In addition, resettlement areas, hillside villa areas, and high-rise buildings have a high land-use ratio and low building density to ensure views towards the western mountains.

The Hillside urban subdivision is planned to have a population of approximately 194,240 people. Of this, about 140,000 people are expected by 2030, and an additional 54,240 people are expected after 2030.

The Hillside urban subdivision, part of the three urban zones of Hoa Vang district, has been outlined in Da Nang City's General Planning 359.

In terms of its three urban zones, Hoa Vang encompasses the entire hillside area and a large part of the green core. Simultaneously, the western ecological zone also includes the entirety of Hoa Vang.

By 2025, Hoa Vang district is expected to have 9 localities developed into wards, including Hoa Lien, Hoa Ninh, Hoa Son, Hoa Nhon, Hoa Tien, Hoa Phong, Hoa Chau, Hoa Phuoc, and Hoa Khuong. Only 2 communes, Hoa Phu and Hoa Bac, will remain.

In addition to the Hillside Urban Subdivision, Da Nang City also approved the Lien Chieu Seaport Subdivision Planning Project, at a scale of 1/2000.

The planning area covers approximately 1,286.2 hectares; located in Hoa Hiep Bac ward, Lien Chieu district and Hoa Lien commune, Hoa Vang district.

In terms of its nature, this area has a specialized function with Lien Chieu Port, a logistics cluster, and a port city. The planned area has a sub-zone population of approximately 24,000 people.
