Da Nang: The massive DIFF 2026 stage is ready for the opening night.

The DIFF 2026 stage in Da Nang City is basically complete before the opening ceremony, notable for its massive scale and technology developed by Vietnamese people.

On the afternoon of May 25th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, inspected the progress of the stage area for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2026) ahead of the opening ceremony.

The stage construction began in early April, and surveys indicate that it is now over 90% complete. Technical, sound, and lighting systems are being installed and tested urgently.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested that the construction unit focus on inspection after completing each stage, ensuring absolute compliance with technical safety criteria before putting the facility into operation to serve the festival.

This year's stage, with an area of ​​approximately 1,800 square meters, is larger than those of previous years. Notably, the main lifting system in the center has a frame area of ​​up to 180 square meters and a load capacity of over 10 tons.

Mr. Tran Xuan Hung, Head of the Construction Subcommittee for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, said: "What's special this year is that the technical equipment, in coordination with contractors, is entirely domestically produced and implemented by a team of Vietnamese people."

The viewing area continues to be arranged along Tran Hung Dao Street, opposite the fireworks display area on the Han River, with many sections from VIP to A1, A2, A3, A4 to serve thousands of spectators and tourists.

Regarding traffic issues, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested continuous public awareness campaigns, and more prompt and thorough monitoring to minimize traffic congestion.

These days, the construction team is concentrating its efforts and accelerating progress in the remaining stages, ensuring completion before the opening day.

With top-tier teams from around the world , this year's festival promises to showcase cutting-edge performance technologies such as smokeless fireworks and fireworks that create stunning water effects.

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival takes place from May 30th to July 11th with the main theme "Da Nang – United Horizons". The opening night will be on May 30th with a competition between the Da Nang team (Vietnam) and the Chinese team.
