Da Nang reclaims nearly 7,500m2 of land for Suoi Da villas that was allocated illegally.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - The People's Committee of Son Tra District ( Da Nang ) has announced the revocation of the land plot for the Suoi Da villa complex on Son Tra Peninsula, citing the reason that the land was allocated to the wrong recipient according to the regulations of the 2024 Land Law.

The People's Committee of Son Tra District (Da Nang) has just issued a notice to reclaim land at plot number 9, map sheet number L, Suoi Da Villa Area (Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District).

This plot of land belongs to Mr. Le Huu Tien and Ms. Vo Thi Thanh Van (residing in Hai Chau District, Da Nang City). The area of ​​the land plot announced for expropriation is 7,413 m2.

The People's Committee of Son Tra District stated that the reason for the land reclamation was due to the land being allocated to the wrong recipients according to the provisions of the 2024 Land Law.

The People's Committee of Son Tra District has assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the People's Committee of Tho Quang Ward, and the two individuals listed as owners of the land plot to investigate, survey, and measure the land area, and to compile a list of houses, other assets, and trees.

According to our investigation, the land use rights for plot L09, with an area of ​​300m2 for building a villa and ecological garden, were transferred by the Da Nang City People's Committee in 2006.

In 2019, the Government Inspectorate conducted an inspection of land management and use on the Son Tra peninsula. Subsequently, the Inspectorate recommended investigating violations at the Suoi Da villa project when the Da Nang City People's Committee allocated and leased land for lot L09 without conducting an auction for land use rights.

At a press conference held by the Da Nang City People's Committee in August, the head of the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and Environment stated that the city was coordinating with the Ministry of Public Security to handle the violations related to the Ghenh Ban - Bai Da project and plot L09 - Suoi Da villa area in accordance with regulations.
