Da Nang has implemented 1,015 model public fire fighting stations.

(HNMO) - On May 17, the Da Nang City Police held a review meeting summarizing the first month of implementing the intensive campaign to build and expand the model of "Safe Fire Prevention and Control Neighborhood Groups" and "Public Firefighting Points".

The past month has also been a time when the Da Nang City Police focused on disseminating information and training on fire prevention and firefighting skills, conducting fire drills in residential areas; inspecting and guiding to ensure fire safety and encouraging households to equip themselves with portable fire extinguishers and arrange a second escape route.

At the conference, Major Tran Cong Toan, Deputy Head of the Staff Department of the Da Nang City Police, stated: After one month of implementing the intensive campaign, the police force, playing a core role, along with local political and social organizations, have reviewed, developed, and launched 146 "Safe Fire Prevention and Control Neighborhood Group" models and 1,015 "Public Firefighting Point" models.

Authorities instructed residents of Phuoc Ninh ward (Hai Chau district) on how to use fire extinguishers at a facility on May 15th.

Authorities organized 531 fire safety training sessions and drills, with 110,073 people participating. Simultaneously, the Da Nang City Police force inspected and guided 110,486 households, encouraged 162,232 households to equip themselves with portable fire extinguishers, and ensured 202,235 households created a second escape route.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Colonel Phan Van Dung, Deputy Director of the Da Nang City Police, highly appreciated the results achieved and directed local police forces, especially at the ward and commune levels, to urgently review, compile accurate and complete lists, and organize the implementation to complete the four objectives set out in the campaign, especially the effective development of the "Safe Neighborhood Fire Prevention and Control Team" model.

Many groups and individuals were honored on this occasion.

In addition, the police force continued to actively advise the authorities at all levels; replicate good, flexible, and creative practices; and support units and localities during the peak period. On this occasion, the Director of the Da Nang City Police awarded Certificates of Commendation to 5 collectives and 11 individuals, and also gave a "bonus" of 2 million VND to the Hai Chau District Police and Thanh Khe District Police for their outstanding achievements during the peak period.
