The vehicle inspection process went smoothly.
Observations at vehicle inspection centers in the city indicate that, in the initial days of implementation, the inspection process was carried out normally.
Technical inspection lines, measuring equipment, and business software have been upgraded and synchronized to meet new requirements, ensuring that inspection and certification are carried out accurately and according to procedure.
At the Da Nang Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (codes 43-01S and 43-02S) on Hoang Van Thai Street (Hoa Khanh Ward), the number of vehicles coming for inspection each day was quite high. Despite this, the processes of receiving documents, conducting technical checks, and returning results were still carried out in an orderly and efficient manner.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the owner of a personal car who came for vehicle inspection on the morning of March 6th, said that before coming to the center, he had heard information about system congestion in some localities, causing many people to wait a long time. Therefore, he was quite worried that vehicle inspection might take longer than before.
“I arrived quite early to avoid a long wait. However, the vehicle inspection process was actually quite fast. I completed the procedures and had my car inspected in just over 30 minutes. The staff provided clear instructions, and the inspection information was updated immediately on the system, which made me feel more at ease,” Mr. Hung shared.
According to Mr. Hung, the switch to electronic certificates is a positive change because it makes it more convenient for people to manage their vehicle documents.
"It would be very convenient if we could look up vehicle inspection information directly on our phones in the future. When we need to check, we can just scan the QR code to find out if the vehicle's inspection certificate is still valid," Mr. Hung added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Hai Tuan, a vehicle service owner in Thanh Khe ward, believes that issuing electronic certificates helps reduce the worry of losing documents as before.
"Previously, every time I went for vehicle inspection, I had to keep my certificate very carefully, and getting a replacement if I lost it was quite troublesome. Now, the data is stored on the system, and there's a QR code for lookup, so it's much more convenient. I can check the information whenever I need it, just with my phone," Mr. Tuan said.
In addition to the convenience of the procedures, many car owners have also noticed that the inspection process is becoming increasingly stricter, especially regarding technical and environmental standards.
According to vehicle inspection centers in the city, the electronic inspection certificate, once issued, will be updated and stored in the data system and integrated with a QR code for lookup and verification when needed. If citizens require a paper copy, the center can still print it directly from the system and stamp it for confirmation as per regulations.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Director of the Da Nang Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (43-01S and 43-02S), the units proactively prepared the technical infrastructure, checked the software, and provided professional training before deployment. As a result, the system operated stably, and the inspection process in the first few days went smoothly without any vehicle congestion.
Mr. Son also advised vehicle owners to proactively check and maintain their vehicles at reputable facilities and prepare all necessary documents before taking them for inspection so that the inspection process can proceed quickly and smoothly during the transition to electronic inspection.
Gradually modernizing vehicle management.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam, Director of the Department of Construction, right from the time the policy was implemented nationwide, the city directed vehicle inspection centers to fully prepare the necessary technical infrastructure and ensure that the software system connects stably with the vehicle inspection industry's database.

In addition, the units have also intensified efforts to disseminate information and guide people on the new procedures and processes to ensure a smooth transition to electronic forms and minimize potential problems.
"Based on our observations during the initial days of implementation, the electronic vehicle inspection certificate issuance process in Da Nang has been stable, with no traffic congestion. People who come for inspection are given clear instructions, so the process is quite smooth," Mr. Nam said.
According to the authorities, the application of electronic vehicle inspection certificates not only helps reduce administrative procedures but also creates a foundation for building a unified vehicle data system, serving traffic management more effectively in the future.
Centralized vehicle inspection data will help authorities easily look up vehicle information, track inspection history, and detect violations. At the same time, integrating QR codes will make roadside inspections by law enforcement faster and more convenient.
According to the Department of Construction, the application of electronic inspection certificates is an important step in the digital transformation roadmap of the vehicle inspection industry, contributing to increased transparency, convenience for citizens and businesses, and improved efficiency in managing vehicle data.
In the coming period, the department will continue to coordinate with relevant units to monitor the implementation process, promptly handle any arising difficulties, and ensure the system operates stably and serves the people and businesses in the best possible way.
"The successful implementation of electronic vehicle inspection certificates is expected to contribute to promoting digital transformation in the transportation sector, while also improving the quality of service for citizens in vehicle registration and inspection," Mr. Nam emphasized.
