Found the body of a drowning victim at Mo Duc beach

(Baoquangngai.vn)- After many hours of searching, rescuers have found the body of one of the four missing students in the drowning incident at Mo Duc beach. The search for the remaining three victims is currently being urgently deployed.

According to information from the People's Committee of Mo Duc district, at around 1:00 a.m. on May 3, the rescue team coordinated with local authorities to find the body of Pham Anh Tan (16 years old), residing in village 1, Duc Chanh commune. The victim was discovered about 200m south of the accident site.

Relatives of the victims are eagerly awaiting information from the rescue team.

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on May 1, Tan and a group of friends went swimming in the sea in Duc Chanh commune and were unfortunately swept away by waves and went missing.

At the same time, at Tan Dinh beach, Thang Loi commune, a drowning incident also occurred, leaving 3 other students missing.

Currently, the rescue team is urgently expanding the search area, mobilizing maximum human resources and means to search for the remaining victims. Flycam has been used to support observation from above, increasing search efficiency.

To strengthen inter-regional coordination, Quang Ngai Provincial Police sent an urgent dispatch to the Police of Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces, requesting coordination in deploying forces, means, mobilizing boats and coastal fishermen to support the search; at the same time, strengthen control in coastal areas to promptly detect the victims' whereabouts.

As reported by Quang Ngai Electronic Newspaper, on the afternoon of May 1, two consecutive drowning incidents occurred in Mo Duc District, causing four students to be swept away by waves and go missing. Immediately after receiving the news, local authorities, residents and functional forces urgently took action and made efforts to search for the children.
