According to information from the People's Committee of Mo Duc district, at around 1:00 a.m. on May 3, the rescue team coordinated with local authorities to find the body of Pham Anh Tan (16 years old), residing in village 1, Duc Chanh commune. The victim was discovered about 200m south of the accident site.

Previously, at 6:00 p.m. on May 1, Tan and a group of friends went swimming in the sea in Duc Chanh commune and were unfortunately swept away by waves and went missing.
At the same time, at Tan Dinh beach, Thang Loi commune, a drowning incident also occurred, leaving 3 other students missing.
Currently, the rescue team is urgently expanding the search area, mobilizing maximum human resources and means to search for the remaining victims. Flycam has been used to support observation from above, increasing search efficiency.

To strengthen inter-regional coordination, Quang Ngai Provincial Police sent an urgent dispatch to the Police of Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces, requesting coordination in deploying forces, means, mobilizing boats and coastal fishermen to support the search; at the same time, strengthen control in coastal areas to promptly detect the victims' whereabouts.
