The parade rehearsal is expected to take place from 7am to 12pm on Le Duan Street, in front of the Reunification Hall, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a particularly important preparation activity before the official celebration on April 30, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
The forces participating in the parade in Ho Chi Minh City include 56 groups. Below are images of the parade groups, mainly the army and police:
1. National emblem model car
The model car of the National Emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam leads the parade. The national emblem is placed on the symbol of the Lac bird, flying up, expressing the will and aspiration of the Vietnamese people. The car represents 54 ethnic groups.

2. Party flag and national flag block
The red Party flag and national flag block opened the parade formation. This formation consisted of soldiers carrying the Party flag (red background, yellow hammer and sickle) and the national flag (red background, yellow star). The soldiers in the flag block wore white uniforms, white hats, and marched in neat horizontal lines.

3. Car carrying portrait of President Ho Chi Minh
The procession carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh followed the Party flag and the national flag. President Ho Chi Minh, the genius leader, the founder, leader and trainer of our Party, the Hero of National Liberation, the World Cultural Celebrity, the Beloved Father of the People's Armed Forces. He paved the way, showed the way and directly led the Vietnamese revolution from one victory to another, including the great victory in the spring of 1975, unifying the country.
Accompanying the procession carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh were 25 children and 25 outstanding young people who always remember what Uncle Ho taught, taking it as a standard and motivation to study, practice, strive, and be worthy of being "Good Children of Uncle Ho", becoming the future masters of the country. Uncle Ho has passed away, but his life, career, ideology, morality, and style will forever shine.

4. The car symbolizes 50 years of national reunification
The car is designed with the symbol of 50 years of national reunification, expressing the pride and aspiration for development of the Vietnamese people. On the car, there is the participation of typical citizens of Ho Chi Minh City through the periods, representing the generations that have contributed to the development of the city and the country.

5. Command vehicle, military flag group of the whole army
The VF9 convertible car carries high-ranking officers of the Vietnam People's Army. On the car, the commanding officer performs the salute to the podium and the parade blocks. The military flag vehicle carries the traditional flag of the Vietnam People's Army, symbolizing the loyalty and fighting spirit of the entire army.

6. Female military band
The female band wore white uniforms, red berets, white gloves and yellow belts. The female soldiers played musical instruments such as the helicon, saxophone and trumpet while marching in a standard formation. Through this, the band created a solemn and heroic atmosphere and led the parade formation.

7. Officers representing 5 armies
The block of officers representing the 5 armies reenacted the image of the 5 lightning-fast attacks in the historic Ho Chi Minh campaign, contributing to the unification of the country on April 30, 1975. The 5 armies included Army Corps 1 - Quyet Thang Army Corps, Army Corps 2 - Huong Giang Army Corps, Army Corps 3 - Tay Nguyen Army Corps, Army Corps 4 - Cuu Long Army Corps and Army Corps 232.

8. Liberation Army Block

9. Army Officer Block
The Army is a land combat force, playing the main role in protecting the territory, borders and participating in combat and national defense. This force inherits the national military tradition, growing from the Vietnam Propaganda Liberation Army on December 22, 1944. In peacetime, the Army also performs rescue and relief missions and supports the development of remote areas. In the parade formation, Army officers wear traditional green uniforms and kepi hats.

The naval officer block represents the core force protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands and continental shelf of the Fatherland. The officers wear white kepi hats and white gloves, marching in solemn formation.

11. Air defense - air force officer block
The Air Defense - Air Force officer block represents the force that protects the national airspace and airspace. Currently, the Air Defense - Air Force (established on October 22, 1963 under the Decree of President Ho Chi Minh) is one of the three main military branches of the Vietnam People's Army.

25. People's Liberation Army of China
The People's Liberation Army (PLA) is the official armed force of China, founded on August 1, 1927, with its predecessor being the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army. In the parade celebrating the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification in Ho Chi Minh City, the PLA sent 118 soldiers to participate.
PLA soldiers wear moss green field uniforms, baseball caps, white gloves, Chinese national flag insignia on their left arms and are equipped with QBZ-95 assault rifles, the force's standard modern weapon.

26. Lao People's Army

The command vehicle and the flag police team of the entire force opened the parade formation of the People's Public Security. After the parade is the parade section organized by Ho Chi Minh City, consisting of 12 groups representing different classes of people, including: the group honoring the Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and typical historical witnesses, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the veteran group, the former youth volunteer group, the workers' group, the farmers' group, the intellectuals' group, the businessmen's group, the overseas Vietnamese group, the women's group, the children's and youth's group, and finally the culture and sports group.
In addition to the parade, the program also has symbolic highlights. Notably, the 21-gun salute ceremony to the National Anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The air force will participate in the demonstration with 13 flag-bearing helicopters, 9 Yak-130 aircraft and 7 Su-30MK2 aircraft flying in welcome over the sky of Ho Chi Minh City.
