Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal club has shocked the transfer market by being willing to spend a total of £200 million to bring Bruno Fernandes away from Man Utd in the summer transfer window of 2025.

The West Asian team is willing to pay Man Utd a transfer fee of up to 100 million pounds in this deal. If the Red Devils agree, Bruno Fernandes will set a record as the player leaving Old Trafford with the highest fee.
In addition, Al Hilal also offered a basic salary of 700,000 pounds/week in a 3-year contract, along with bonuses and signing-on fees. That could help the Portuguese midfielder increase his total income to 65 million pounds per season.
Due to the tight schedule as Al Hilal will compete in the FIFA Club World Cup in mid-June, the Saudi Arabian club only gave Bruno Fernandes a 72-hour deadline to consider before switching to another target.
Bruno Fernandes has not yet responded to this information. However, after Man Utd's defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final, he also hinted at the possibility of leaving Old Trafford: "If the club feels it's time to part ways because they need money, then I have to accept it."

Despite his continued happiness at Old Trafford, Bruno Fernandes has had to face the reality that the Manchester club will not be playing in Europe next season. Under his contract, he has had to accept a 25% pay cut. In addition, his future under coach Ruben Amorim is still uncertain, making it difficult for the 30-year-old midfielder to feel secure about his long-term commitment.
This case reminds fans of C. Ronaldo, who still maintains his position in the Portuguese team after moving to Al Nassr in 2022. With his proven class, Bruno Fernandes may follow a similar path when he turns 31.
Man Utd are facing a serious financial crisis after a disappointing season. In addition to missing out on Champions League football next season, the club has had its sponsorship deal with Adidas slashed by £10m and is at risk of losing millions more in Premier League prize money after finishing in the bottom half of the table.
According to the Daily Mail, almost the entire squad could be sold if the right price is received. Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Antony and Jadon Sancho are all names that could potentially leave the club.
Several players such as Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans will leave on free transfers. The Red Devils are also looking to reduce their wage bill by offloading players no longer in their plans such as Altay Bayindir and Tyrell Malacia.
However, Casemiro is likely to stay as no partner has accepted his £375,000-a-week salary at Old Trafford.
