The 5th Congress of Sop Cop District Trade Union, term 2023-2028

On July 19, Sop Cop District Labor Federation held the 5th Trade Union Congress, term 2023-2028.

Delegates voted to elect the Executive Committee of the Sop Cop District Labor Federation, term V, 2023 - 2028.

The District Labor Federation has 34 grassroots trade unions (UCs), with 1,786 union members. In the 2019-2023 term, the District Labor Federation has directed the grassroots unions to thoroughly grasp and implement contents directly related to union members and employees, and at the same time perform well the role of caring for the lives, rights and legitimate interests of union members and employees. The grassroots unions regularly coordinate to promote emulation movements launched by all levels and sectors, strive to fulfill assigned duties and tasks; pay attention to implementing well the salary, sickness, maternity, leave, and overtime payment regimes; focus on implementing welfare for union members and employees. Mobilizing union members to donate to the social fund, reaching 195 million VND. Presenting 65 gifts, worth 32.5 million VND on the occasion of Lunar New Year; Presented 30 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances during "Workers' Month", with a total amount of 15 million VND. Received and transferred 120 million VND from the Social Fund to 4 union members in difficult circumstances to repair and renovate union shelters...

For the 2023-2028 term, the District Labor Federation has set 10 targets and 2 breakthroughs. In particular, innovating the union's operation methods, focusing on digital transformation, building digital unions and digital union members. Coordinating well the training, coaching and improving the professional qualifications of union officials at all levels, meeting the requirements of assigned tasks. Strive to have over 90% of union members and workers apply digital transformation during the term; develop 100-200 new union members; establish 1-2 new grassroots unions in non-state enterprises.

The Congress elected 15 members to the Executive Committee of the District Labor Federation, term V, 2023 - 2028; elected 7 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the Congress of the Trade Union at a higher level.
