The congress aims to summarize and evaluate the achievements and results of ethnic work, ethnic policies, infrastructure development, poverty reduction and the implementation of 03 National Target Programs from the 3rd Congress of Ethnic Minorities of Hoang Su Phi district to present.
This is also an opportunity for Hoang Su Phi district to honor, commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals among ethnic minorities in the period of integration and development.
The 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Hoang Su Phi District in 2024 will be attended by 150 delegates and will be solemnly organized on an appropriate, practical, economical and effective scale. Thereby, it will arouse the exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere, promoting the patriotic emulation movement of all classes of people in the district.
Official delegates attending the Congress are exemplary and representative of ethnic minorities living in the area, with many achievements contributing to political stability, security - defense, socio-economic development, as well as building the spirit of solidarity among ethnic groups.
Hoang Su Phi is a mountainous border district of Ha Giang province, located on the upper reaches of Chay River and Bac River, 110 km west of Ha Giang city.
In 2023, the total population of the district is 14,650 households with 68,416 people, of which ethnic minorities account for 95.5%. There are currently over 13 ethnic groups in the district, of which 9 ethnic groups live in communities, including: Nung ethnic group; Dao ethnic group; Tay ethnic group; Mong ethnic group; La Chi ethnic group; Co Lao ethnic group; Hoa ethnic group; Phu La ethnic group; the rest are Cao Lan, Muong, Giay, Pa Then ethnic groups living scatteredly.
