The 1st Congress of the Party Committee of the General Staff Department

The Congress unanimously set out the direction, goals, tasks, and leadership solutions of the Party Committee of the General Staff Department for the 2025-2030 term, in which it agreed that the 9 main targets in the political report are comprehensive in all aspects of work, close to the requirements of the tasks for the 2025-2030 term, and highly feasible.

The key task is to focus on advising on building a solid defense zone; building a strong provincial armed force; strengthening situational awareness and forecasting, and effectively handling situations that arise.

Implement 3 breakthroughs: Improve the capacity and quality of staff advisory work, especially cadres in charge of assigned duties and tasks; improve the quality of training, building regulations, and training discipline; strictly follow principles, rules, and regulations; improve the capacity to organize and implement resolutions of Party cell committees.

During the past term, the Party Committee of the General Staff Department proactively studied and grasped the spirit of resolutions at all levels, directly the resolutions and directives of the An Giang Provincial Military Party Committee, and concretized them into leadership resolutions at their own level, closely following the requirements of assigned tasks.

The Party Committee of the General Staff Department does a good job of advising and proposing to the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command to advise the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of An Giang province to lead, direct and effectively implement local military and defense work.

Well-resolving policies and regimes for cadres and soldiers. Ensuring sufficient weapons, equipment and ammunition for agencies and units. Strictly managing reserve soldiers and technical means of the national economy. Building a militia and self-defense force of 1.2% of the population; the quality of party members is 29.07% of the population, 100% of commune-level military cells have Party committees.
