Focus on improving quality and effectively performing assigned tasks
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy State Auditor General Ha Thi My Dung emphasized that our Party and State always pay special attention to the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; not allowing waste to create invisible barriers to socio -economic development, missing out on development opportunities for the country.
In the article "Fighting waste", General Secretary To Lam emphasized the persistent existence of waste in many areas, from natural resources, national budget to human resources, time and human effort.
With the strategic vision of bringing the country into a "new era" under the Party's leadership, the work of preventing and combating waste is facing new, urgent and pressing requirements and tasks.

The Party Committee of the State Audit is well aware of its role and responsibility in the fight against corruption, waste, negativity and building a disciplined, transparent and sustainable national finance. During the 2020 - 2025 term, the Party Committee of the State Audit has focused on leading and directing the implementation of key contents and achieved some outstanding results as follows:
Firstly, the State Audit Party Committee closely directs the implementation of the Party's policies and resolutions, the State's legal policies, especially the policy on restructuring and streamlining the apparatus and implementing Resolutions on institutional foundations.
The Party Committee of the State Audit has decided to change the model and functions of its affiliated units; to arrange and streamline 12 focal points of department-level units. The National Assembly Standing Committee has issued a Resolution, accordingly, to rearrange from 13 regional State Audit units to 12 units.
Second, the State Audit has focused on improving the quality and effectively performing the functions of assessment, confirmation, conclusion and recommendation on the management and use of public finance and public assets, thereby actively contributing to enhancing transparency and accountability of units, organizations and individuals.
Third, the State Audit Party Committee has led and directed that every year it must focus on auditing major topics related to the management and operation of the state budget, areas prone to negativity, corruption, waste and issues of public concern, ineffective projects, projects behind schedule, projects that are slow to be put into use...; especially focusing on evaluating mechanisms and policies to propose solutions and improvements.
Presenting specific results, Deputy State Auditor General Ha Thi My Dung said that in the 2020-2025 period, the State Audit recommended handling more than VND 240 trillion; recommended canceling, amending and supplementing 894 documents with content inconsistent with State regulations and practices; provided 1,851 documents and audit reports to competent authorities; transferred 19 cases to the Police Investigation Agency for investigation and handling. In addition, the State Audit also audited 2 cases with signs of corruption under the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing corruption, waste and negativity...
Auditing of issues that are prone to negativity and corruption will be strengthened.
Based on the summary of practices, the State Audit Party Committee has drawn a number of lessons, thereby determining the need to focus on effectively implementing a number of key tasks in the coming time as follows:
Firstly, continue to closely follow the direction and leadership of the Party and the National Assembly to carry out tasks. Strengthen the audit of activities, topics, information technology, and the environment; select audits of topics that have a major impact on the socio-economic situation, issues that are prone to negativity, corruption, waste, and "hot" issues that are of interest to public opinion, the National Assembly, and voters, in conjunction with the National Assembly's supreme supervision plan and the National Assembly Standing Committee's supervision; focusing on assessing the inadequacies of mechanisms and policies to propose improvements to legal documents.

Second, focus on perfecting the legal framework of the State Audit in the spirit of Resolution No. 66-NQ/TW of the Politburo on innovating the work of building and enforcing laws to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; improve the quality of human resources associated with the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined, operate effectively and efficiently" as a basis for innovating the organization and operation of the State Audit, meeting the requirements in the fight against corruption, waste and negativity.
Third, promote and diversify the forms of publicizing audit results and the implementation of audit conclusions and recommendations.
Fourth, strengthen data connection with audited units, creating a foundation for the process of converting traditional auditing methods to modern auditing methods based on digital data; strengthen remote auditing, gradually reduce direct auditing time at the unit, save auditing costs; promote the application of information technology, AI, high technology and use of experts in auditing activities.
Fifth, closely coordinate with state agencies, especially agencies that prevent corruption, waste, and negativity, to promptly provide signs of violations detected through audits to improve the effectiveness of the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.

Sixth, coordinate with agencies to submit to competent authorities step by step to complete the industry's facilities, ensuring working conditions for cadres and civil servants, especially transferred cadres and civil servants.
“The fight against corruption, waste and negativity is an extremely difficult and complicated task; it requires close and timely direction and participation of all levels and sectors to promote the effectiveness and efficiency of management, contributing to the development of our country, making it richer and more beautiful, firmly entering a new era, an era of national development”. Emphasizing the above requirement, Deputy State Auditor General Ha Thi My Dung said that the Party Committee of the State Audit is determined to build a pioneering Party Committee in preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity in the management of public finance and public assets, contributing to building a disciplined, transparent and sustainable national finance.
