Congress of Delegates of My Thuan Commune Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030

On August 21 and 22, the Party Committee of My Thuan commune (An Giang province) held the 1st Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term. Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Vo Minh Hoang attended and directed the congress.

The Congress set out a number of targets for the 5-year period 2025 - 2030: The average annual growth rate of total product value in the area will reach 5% or more; by the end of the term, the average income per capita will reach 89 million VND/person/year. Annual rice output will reach 247,700 tons, of which high-quality rice accounts for 98%.

During the term, 70km of rural roads were newly built and upgraded; 10 new rural bridges were built. By 2030, 99% of households will use clean water; 99.95% of households will have access to electricity; the rate of people participating in health insurance will reach 95% or more; the multidimensional poverty rate will decrease to 1.18%.

Speaking at the congress, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee Vo Minh Hoang requested the Party Committee of My Thuan commune to continue to promote the building and rectification of the Party and the political system to be clean, strong, and effective; promote democracy, maintain discipline and order; improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the contingent of cadres, party members, and party organizations.

The entire Party Committee needs to focus on maintaining and strengthening internal solidarity and unity, considering this a key factor to successfully complete all tasks. At the same time, promote the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in all sectors, fields, agencies, units and enterprises; in which, focus on applying science and technology in the fields of agriculture and processing industry to improve quality, added value and product brands.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee to appoint 26 comrades to the Executive Committee of the My Thuan Commune Party Committee; 7 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Commune Party Committee. Comrade Duong Thanh Nha was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the My Thuan Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
