The 1st Congress of Phu My Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030 was a great success.

On August 19-20, the 1st Congress of Phu My Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030, was successfully held. Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Le Minh Y, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee and representatives of departments, branches, and the Working Group of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee directing the Party Congress of communes and wards. Phu My Commune was formed on the basis of merging Phu My Commune (old), Phu Thuan Commune and part of Hoa My Commune. During the past term, the commune has promoted the leadership role of the Party, improved the effectiveness of the government, innovated the activities of the Front and socio-political organizations, and ensured the synchronous and effective operation of the political system.

The economy has shifted in the right direction, the program of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction has achieved clear results, the budget revenue has exceeded the target, and economic sectors have operated effectively. The cultural and social fields have received attention, the quality of human resources and people's lives have been improved, political security and social order have been maintained. In the new term, the Party Committee of the commune has determined the motto: democracy - solidarity - discipline - breakthrough - development, focusing on improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, building a clean and strong political system, mobilizing and effectively using resources, shifting the economic structure towards increasing productivity, quality, efficiency and sustainability, promoting the construction of new rural areas, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, while maintaining national defense - security and social order, contributing to the successful implementation of the development goals of the province.

The Congress proposed 6 key tasks, focusing on 3 breakthroughs: economic development associated with aquaculture, replicating sustainable shrimp farming models and popularizing the application of science and technology; upgrading and expanding traffic infrastructure connecting the Ca Mau - Dat Mui expressway, calling for investment in infrastructure and commercial services in the commune administrative center and Dam Thi Tuong; developing human resources through training, improving human quality associated with administrative reform and implementing comprehensive digital transformation, taking people as the center.

The Provincial Party Standing Committee appointed 26 comrades to the Executive Committee, 9 comrades to the Standing Committee; and the delegation attending the 17th Provincial Party Congress included 5 official members and 1 alternate. Comrade Lu Trung Nguyen was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Phu My Commune Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
