Promoting internal strength, promoting sustainable development
Established on the basis of merging two communes, Dak Ngo and Quang Tan (old), Quang Tan commune has soon identified socio -economic development as a key task. Since then, the Party Committee of the commune has focused on comprehensive leadership, effectively exploiting potentials and strengths to build a sustainable local development. Identifying agriculture as the key sector, Quang Tan has promoted the transformation of the industry structure towards increasing added value, sustainable development and suitability to local conditions. The commune focuses on developing crops such as coffee, pepper, cashew, rubber; forming concentrated production areas, applying high technology (UDCNC). The whole commune currently has more than 792.5 hectares of UDCNC agricultural land, accounting for 3.8% of the agricultural area; at the same time, planning a UDCNC coffee production area with an area of 200 hectares; a beef cattle and breeding cattle area in the direction of biosafety. About 92% of the cattle herd in the commune has been crossbred. Many varieties of plants and animals with high productivity and quality are put into production.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the commune mobilized more than 46.5 billion VND to invest in the construction of over 26 km of roads to serve agricultural development. National target program capital sources were effectively integrated, focusing on production and rural infrastructure. Thanks to that, the total agricultural production value of the commune reached over 1,110 billion VND, an increase of 7.5% compared to the beginning of the term and exceeding the resolution target by 2.3%.
Poverty reduction is one of the bright spots of Quang Tan in the 2020 - 2025 term. Accordingly, the Commune Party Committee has issued many resolutions and plans for rapid and sustainable poverty reduction. The work of reviewing and counting the causes of poverty is carried out regularly, thereby proposing appropriate and timely solutions. Over the past 5 years, the whole commune has had 2,473 poor households receiving loans for production with a total amount of about 236 billion VND; nearly 15 billion VND from target programs was arranged to support livelihoods for 937 households. Thanks to the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the people, the poverty rate of the whole commune has decreased to 9.2% (down 39.5% compared to the beginning of the term); the number of poor households of local ethnic minorities is 89, accounting for 10.8% (down 50.8%). Comrade Dinh Ngoc Nhan - Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tan commune assessed: "The achievements in the past term are the result of the solidarity, determination and creativity of the entire political system and the people. This is the solid foundation for Quang Tan to continue to develop rapidly and sustainably in the coming time".
Party building is key
Quang Tan Commune has 34 villages, hamlets and hamlets. This is a large area, with many shortages of infrastructure, and the lives of the people, especially ethnic minorities, are still facing many difficulties. Faced with this reality, the Commune Party Committee clearly determined that in order to develop sustainably, it is necessary to focus on Party building, considering it the key and foundation for socio-economic development and improving people's lives. From there, the Party Committee focused on leading the implementation of political and ideological education, creating unity in thought and action throughout the entire political system. The implementation of the 4th Central Resolution on Party building and rectification associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle has become a tradition in Party activities.
Party organization and building work has been focused on and implemented synchronously and effectively. Ineffective Party cells have been regularly reviewed and strengthened. During the term, the Party Committee has admitted 87 Party members (23 more than the resolution), bringing the total number of Party members to 605. The work of inspection, supervision and Party discipline enforcement has been focused, key, strict and objective, especially in areas where violations are likely to arise and of public concern. The whole commune has established 34 mass mobilization teams in villages and hamlets; mobilizing people to contribute hundreds of millions of VND and thousands of working days to build roads, lighting, and houses for poor households and policy families. Secretary of the Quang Tan Commune Party Committee Dinh Ngoc Nhan emphasized: “We identify Party building as the key, the prerequisite for economic development and improving people's lives. Only when the Party is strong will people be rich and society will be democratic and civilized.”
Exploit potential and advantages for development
Comrade Dinh Ngoc Nhan affirmed that in the 2020 - 2025 term, the Quang Tan Commune Party Committee has led and directed the implementation of achieving and exceeding 12/14 set targets in all areas. This is an important premise for the commune to continue to move forward in the new term to build a comprehensive, sustainable and civilized commune. In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Commune Party Committee determined that continuing to build a clean and strong Party and political system is a key task; rapid and sustainable socio-economic development is the focus; promoting the role of people, culture and the great national unity bloc is an important foundation to promote development goals.
To realize this goal, the commune focuses on promoting economic development towards improving productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness. The focus is on developing high-tech agriculture, producing goods according to value chains, building product brands, and creating stable output for agricultural products. The exploitation and effective promotion of land, labor and climate potential to form specialized areas and raw material areas serving the processing industry and increasing people's income are emphasized.
The locality focuses on planning, land management, forest resources associated with population stabilization; promotes investment in building synchronous infrastructure, prioritizing rural transport, irrigation, electricity, schools, medical stations, etc. Along with focusing on administrative reform, digital transformation in management and operation activities, the commune promotes the application of information technology, improves the quality of online public services, reduces administrative procedures, increases the satisfaction of people and businesses, taking people as the center and the subject of service.
Identifying Party building as the key throughout, the Party Committee continues to improve the leadership capacity, fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and the quality of cadres and party members. The work of creating sources, developing party members, building "four good party cells, four good party committees", building a team of cadres to meet the requirements of the task has been strengthened... "With high political determination and consensus in the entire political system, Quang Tan commune will synchronously deploy solutions for socio-economic development, building a strong Party; at the same time, taking advantage of external factors to exploit potentials and advantages, gradually bringing the locality to comprehensive and sustainable development", informed comrade Dinh Ngoc Nhan.
