Dak Lak completes program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses

Implementing the emulation movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide, up to now, Dak Lak province has completed the construction and repair of 8,915 houses, reaching a rate of 100%.

According to updated data, the whole province has 8,993 households in need of support to build new houses or repair houses; however, after review, 79 houses were not built (including 12 new houses and 66 houses repaired) because the households did not meet the conditions to receive support, refused to build and received support to build houses from other programs...

Thus, out of the total 8,915 completed houses, 6,828 were newly built and 2,087 were repaired. Specifically, there were 608 houses for families of meritorious people and martyrs' relatives; 1,344 houses for poor and near-poor households under national target programs and 7,041 houses for poor and near-poor households from the Temporary and Dilapidated House Elimination Program.

To achieve the above results, recently, the provincial leaders and departments, branches, sectors and localities in the province have focused resources, promoted inspection, supervision and support for construction and repair so that people can soon have solid houses and stabilize their lives; ensuring the completion of the movement before August 31 according to the plan of the Government and localities.
