Comrade Chau Thi Thu, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, said: "From June 1, stop collecting union funds and union fees for union members, grassroots unions of administrative agencies, public service units receiving 100% of state budget salary, and armed forces.
Leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor disseminate new policies and documents to union members and workers in the province.
Currently, the province has nearly 47,000 union members, employees and workers at 883 grassroots unions. The Provincial Federation of Labor requires units to implement and direct grassroots unions to implement a number of contents: For grassroots unions of administrative agencies, armed forces, and public service units receiving 100% of their salaries from the state budget that have ended their operations, they must make a financial settlement report for the union by May 31, 2025. At the same time, continue to make accounting entries until the end of operations. The end of operations and handover must be completed before June 25, 2025. When the operations end, the unit must make adjustments to the settlement report.
For grassroots trade unions that do not terminate their activities, handover to the receiving unit shall be carried out in accordance with Official Dispatch No. 525/LĐLĐ dated February 3, 2025 of the Provincial Federation of Labor.
For level 3 trade unions that have ended their operations, the union financial settlement report must be made by May 31, 2025. At the same time, continue to record accounting until the end of operations. The end of operations must be completed before June 30, 2025. When the operations end, the unit shall adjust the settlement report.

The Provincial Government Trade Union currently has 42 grassroots trade unions of public service units, of which 27 grassroots trade unions receive state budget salaries; 15 grassroots trade unions of public service units do not receive 100% state budget salaries. Comrade Vo Cong Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Government Trade Union, said: “The Provincial Government Trade Union has disseminated and promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of union members to resolve difficulties and obstacles. We see this as a major policy in the roadmap to reform the trade union apparatus in the direction of streamlining, efficiency, suitability to practical conditions, avoiding overlap and improving the quality of trade union activities in the enterprise sector and non-state sector.”
Tuyen Quang Vocational and Technical College is a 40% autonomous unit. Over the years, taking care of and ensuring the rights of workers has always been identified as a key task. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, a member of the grassroots union of Tuyen Quang Vocational and Technical College, shared: "I find it very reasonable to stop collecting union fees because it does not affect the rights of workers. Moreover, it will help the union organization focus more on the core task of taking care of workers in enterprises and autonomous public service units."
The suspension of union dues collection only in administrative and public service units receiving 100% of state budget salary; and the continued collection of union dues in enterprises and autonomous and partially autonomous units - where labor disputes often arise - aims to affirm that the union organization will become increasingly stronger and worthy of being a reliable support for workers.
