Dam Ha: Projects and constructions are in full swing

Dam Ha District Square is urgently completing some final items.

As one of the projects transferred from 2024, the Project to supplement facilities and equipment of Dam Ha Town Secondary School (Dam Ha District) ensures level 2 including the following items: Construction of a new 4-storey school building with 19 classrooms; repair of a 3-storey school building and a 2-storey headquarters building; upgrading some auxiliary items. After 10 months of construction, the main items have been basically completed, the contractor is focusing on human resources to complete the final items, finishing 3 months ahead of the signed contract.

Mr. Bui Van Thuong, Site Manager, Thai Binh Minh Company Limited, said: According to the project implementation plan, the project will be completed and put into use at the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, however, following the direction of Dam Ha district and the project investor, the unit has mobilized human resources and equipment to speed up construction. Currently, the workload has been completed by over 90%, the unit is also urgently completing the sub-items related to painting the classroom blocks, fences, campus flower pots and paving the school yard to hand over the project this June.

The project to supplement facilities and equipment of Dam Ha Town Secondary School (Dam Ha District) strives to finish 2 months ahead of schedule.

According to the plan in early 2025, Dam Ha district will implement 40 construction projects. Of which, there are 11 transitional projects; 6 new projects have started construction. The projects have been approved for investment policies and allocated capital in the medium-term capital plan but have not been implemented, while the remaining projects have been approved for investment policies but have not been allocated annual capital. Currently, a series of transitional projects are being urgently constructed and completing payment and settlement documents.

Mr. Pham Duc Huu, Hai Ninh Construction Joint Stock Company , site commander of the Spillway Bridge project, Tay village, Duc Yen commune (Dam Ha district) said: Currently, the main structure of the bridge has been completed, the approach road has been completed with a crushed stone layer. In response to the district's request, the unit is preparing to asphalt the bridge and approach road, striving to complete the project and put it into use 4 months ahead of the contract signed with the investor. Thereby, speeding up the procedures for payment and settlement of construction volume and the entire project.

Implementing the province's direction on handling state budget assets and finances before implementing the project of not organizing district level, merging commune-level administrative units and building a 2-level local government organization, Dam Ha district has reviewed, synthesized, transferred and handed over 9 projects under construction, 7 projects under construction bidding for the province to continue implementing.

Mr. Ngo Truong Nghiep, Deputy Director of the Dam Ha District Construction Investment Project Management Board, affirmed: For completed but unsettled projects, the Board is urgently finalizing the project and paying off all capital sources, not allowing any outstanding debts, and closing accounts according to regulations before May 31, 2025. For projects and works that cannot be completed before the end of district-level activities, the Board has made a list, determined the completed volume of each project, compared debts, advanced capital sources and sent a report to the province. For projects determined to be completed before June 30, the unit has worked with construction contractors to create a detailed construction progress table as well as milestones for completing payment and settlement documents in accordance with the province's direction.

Early completion of the list review, determination of the completed volume of each project, and preparation for handing over the management of district-level investment projects to the provincial project management board are important factors for the continuous implementation of projects and ensuring the disbursement target of public investment capital.
