PSG demonstrated the mettle of a reigning European champion by holding Bayern Munich to a 1-1 draw in Germany in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final, securing their place in the final with an aggregate score of 6-5 over two legs.
PSG's goal was scored by Ousmane Dembele in the 139th second – the third earliest in the history of Champions League semi-finals. In injury time of the second half, Harry Kane equalized for Bayern, making it 1-1.
Despite the Bundesliga representatives exerting suffocating pressure for most of the match, the French team held firm thanks to their disciplined defense and courageous fighting spirit. Coach Luis Enrique's team once again demonstrated their mettle in Europe's most prestigious competition.
Midfielder Joao Neves emphasized the team's unity and resilience after the match: “We know how to overcome difficulties. PSG is ready for any challenge ahead. Even with injured players, everyone is ready to fight. That's how you build a great team.”

Meanwhile, young talent Desire Doue couldn't hide his emotions after the memorable night in Munich: "It was an extraordinary match, another magical night in Munich against a great opponent. We have to show respect to Bayern. These are the kinds of matches every player dreams of being a part of since they were a child."
This is PSG's third time in the Champions League final, a record for French football. PSG is also the first club to reach the final two seasons in a row since Liverpool in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.
PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi affirmed that the club is continuing to make history after winning the Champions League last season: “We made history last year and we want to continue that with PSG. Our dream is to win the European title for the second time. The biggest star of PSG is the team. Everyone is ready to fight for this shirt. That is the PSG spirit.”

He also expressed his gratitude to the fans of the Parisian club: “It’s fantastic. We have the best coach in the world and the best fans. Tonight, all we heard was the cheers of the PSG supporters.”
For his part, coach Luis Enrique was emotional as he led PSG to the Champions League final once again. They will face Arsenal in the final, which will take place in Budapest on May 30th.
"In two days I will turn 56 and I am truly happy. PSG has taken another step forward in the Champions League. We want to dedicate this gift to our fans," he said. "This team always fights to the end, even when we have to play deep defensively. That is the spirit that helps us overcome big challenges."
