Presenting the Political Report at the congress, Colonel Vu Ngoc Hung, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the 198th Special Forces Brigade, affirmed: During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee has focused on leading the improvement of qualifications and combat readiness, creating breakthroughs in improving training quality. The annual inspection results were 100% satisfactory, of which 86.6% were good and excellent, and the unit was excellent; the annual political education inspection was 100% satisfactory, of which 90.5% were good and excellent.

In the work of party building, the Party Committee of the 198th Special Forces Brigade focuses on building a strong party committee in terms of politics, ideology, ethics and organization. Through evaluation, every year, 100% of the party organizations and party members in the Party Committee complete their tasks; of which, 98.31% of party organizations and 97.15% of party members complete their tasks well and excellently.

Regarding the direction, goals, tasks and leadership solutions for the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of the 198th Special Forces Brigade agreed on a number of key targets, including continuing to improve the quality of combat training, building discipline, and implementing discipline, completing 100% of the set plan with 100% satisfactory results, with the good and excellent rate accounting for 85% or more; no serious violations; building a clean and strong Party organization, with 100% of Party organizations and 90% of Party members completing their tasks well or better every year.

Speaking at the congress, Major General Nguyen Quoc Duan, Political Commissar of the Special Forces Corps, highly appreciated the spirit and responsibility from the preparation work to the quality implementation of the Party Congress of the 198th Special Forces Brigade; acknowledged and commended the leadership results in the 2020-2025 term, demonstrated by being awarded the First Class Fatherland Protection Medal by the President; the Ministry of National Defense awarded 5 Certificates of Merit and many awards of the Special Forces Corps.

Regarding the direction for the 2025-2030 term, the Political Commissar of the Special Forces Corps requested the Party Committee of the 198th Special Forces Brigade to continue to promote the tradition of the heroic unit of the People's Armed Forces, strive to lead and create new breakthroughs in combat training, building a regular order, training discipline and building the Party; successfully implementing the goals and targets set by the 17th Congress of Delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

With the spirit of "solidarity, democracy, discipline, breakthrough and development", the delegates contributed many quality opinions at the congress; elected the 17th Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the 198th Special Forces Brigade for the 2025-2030 term and elected the delegation to attend the 12th Congress of Delegates of the Special Forces Corps for the 2025-2030 term with a high number of votes of confidence.
