The Philippine women's team arrived in Viet Tri to prepare for the 2025 Southeast Asian women's football tournament.

VHO - On the morning of August 3, the Philippine women's team arrived in Vietnam to prepare for the 2025 Southeast Asian women's football tournament. After landing, coach Mark Gabriele Torcaso and his team traveled straight to Viet Tri city, Phu Tho province.

The Philippines women's team is the first visiting team in Vietnam.

As the first visiting team to visit Vietnam, the Philippine women's team brought with them a force of 23 players and 12 members of the coaching staff, logistics and team leadership. According to the arrangement plan of the tournament organizing committee, the entire team was arranged to stay at the Muong Thanh Viet Tri Hotel.

As soon as the Philippine team arrived at the hotel, Mr. Dao Tien Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho province, along with representatives of the local organizing committee and the hotel were present to welcome them.

According to the professional preparation plan, the Philippine women's team will enter their first training session at Phu Tho training ground (SC) on the evening of August 4 to get used to the weather and field conditions.

Before the opening match, the players will also have the opportunity to survey the main playing field at Viet Tri Stadium through a visit and walk on the field on August 6.

In parallel, head coach Mark Torcaso will also attend the pre-tournament press conference, along with representatives of the teams in Group B, held at Saigon Phu Tho Hotel.

The 2025 AFF Women's Championship is an annual regional tournament organized by the AFF, gathering the strongest teams in the region.

This year, Group B with the participation of the Philippines promises to be full of drama, as all teams have carefully prepared and have clear goals. With a force that is considered to have depth, along with international competition experience accumulated from the 2023 Women's World Cup, the Philippine women's team is considered one of the potential candidates in the tournament.
