Previously, on August 29, while walking in the yard, he was suddenly attacked by a swarm of bees. The swarm was black, numbering several thousand, and covered his body. His family had to use mosquito spray to rescue him from the swarm.
At the time of admission, the patient was found to have suffered nearly 300 bee stings. The patient was admitted to the hospital in a state of massive poisoning, with ruptured red blood cells and damaged muscles and eyes. After 1 week of intensive treatment, the patient passed the critical stage.
A few days earlier, the hospital also admitted a 90-year-old woman (in Nam Dinh ) with nearly 200 bee stings.
Her family said she was stung by a bee while cutting banana trees in the garden and was stung by a wasp many times all over her body. The patient was transferred to the Poison Control Center on the night of September 2 in a state of skeletal muscle damage, liver damage, blood clotting disorder, thrombocytopenia, kidney failure, and heart failure. After 3 days of intensive care and special care, the patient is gradually recovering and progressing well.
Doctor Nguyen said that bee stings are very common, especially in the fall with many types of bees containing toxins such as hornets, hornets, hornets, etc.
When stung by many bees, the risk of poisoning is very high. Bee venom harms all organs in the body, first aid is needed immediately in the community, then intensive treatment at the primary health care facility. In severe cases, the patient needs to be transferred to a higher level for timely intervention.
After being stung by a bee, people should drink enough water, especially mineral water, salt, broth, oresol and urgently go to a medical facility. At the medical facility, the patient also needs to quickly replenish enough fluids and water.
