After removing the advertisement posted on her personal page, actress Van Trang told VTC News reporter that the first thing she wanted to say was an apology to the audience for causing misunderstandings.
The actress explained that the content she posted on her personal page was actually only about makeup products, not skin whitening products. She intended to quietly delete the post to let things go, but unexpectedly, there were negative reactions that forced her to speak up.
The advertisement was posted by Van Trang on her personal page on November 28, however, she deleted the post after being criticized by the audience for the "exaggerated" advertisement.
Sharing the reason for deleting the post, Van Trang explained: “This is a makeup product, like BB cream, not a skin care cream that brightens skin tone immediately. I see that people have not yet found out what kind of product I am talking about but have had mixed reactions. I am afraid of gossip and arguments, so I removed the post so that people do not misunderstand anymore.”
The actress further explained in her posted status that, in makeup, if it is foundation or powder, just apply it once to cover flaws and brighten skin tone immediately. In the post, she also wrote "only beautiful from morning to night", but the next day without using it, the skin is dark again and did not say that this is a whitening cream immediately after use.
The actress expressed regret for writing a misleading advertisement.
At the same time, the actress also wanted to apologize to her audience: "I would like to apologize to my audience for causing everyone this unnecessary misunderstanding."
Through this incident, the actress said she has become more aware of the importance of posting content for viewers and audiences on her channel. She promised to learn from experience and not use “sensational headlines” when advertising to avoid causing misunderstandings.
