List of Vietnamese women's team participating in the second qualifying round of the 2024 Olympics: Huynh Nhu returns

The Vietnamese women's team has finalized the list of 22 players participating in the second qualifying round of the 2024 Olympics. Striker Huynh Nhu returned after she did not attend the 19th ASIAD.

Coach Mai Duc Chung prioritizes experienced players for the important campaign. Therefore, three young players Ngoc Minh Chuyen (Thai Nguyen Club), Nguyen Thi Truc Huong (Than KSVN Club) and Pham Thi Lan Anh ( Hanoi Club) will not continue to accompany the team.

In recent days, the coaching staff has been allowing the players to practice and compete internally to test and perfect their tactical plans. On October 23, the entire team will leave for Uzbekistan to participate in the second qualifying round of the 2024 Olympics.

" After ASIAD 19, the young players have started to get in tune with their seniors. They have also been given the opportunity to experiment and gain experience in the recent tournament. Currently, they are more confident and have better passes and coordination with other teammates. Ngoc Minh Chuyen is a young player but has confidence and quite a sophisticated ability to play football ", midfielder Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy shared.

In the second qualifying round, the Vietnamese women's team is in the same group with Uzbekistan, India and Japan. The matches will take place on October 26, October 29 and November 1 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The second qualifying round has 12 teams, divided into three groups of four teams. The three winners and the best runner-up will advance to the third qualifying round.

In the final qualifying round, the organizers divided the teams into two knockout matches. The two winning teams qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
