On September 30, the Spanish Meteorological Agency (AEMET) raised the disaster alert level to the highest level for the island of Ibiza, forecasting rainfall that could exceed 180mm in 12 hours in many areas.

At Ibiza airport, heavy rains overwhelmed the drainage system, causing leaks in the security check area ceiling, with rainwater pouring into the passenger area, according to The Sun.

Many roads on the island were deeply flooded, including the road leading to the airport, the main E-10 highway, and internal routes such as Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària. This situation disrupted traffic on the island.
Widespread heavy rain also severely impacted tourism on the island. Many tourists had to wade through flooded areas, resulting in their luggage getting wet and lost. Numerous flights departing the island were also delayed or canceled.

Although there have been no reports of casualties, local authorities are still advising residents and tourists to minimize going outside, avoid low-lying areas, streams, or basements, and contact emergency services immediately if they need assistance.

Ibiza is one of the most famous islands in the Balearic Islands archipelago of Spain, located in the Mediterranean Sea. It is known as a "party paradise" with some of the most vibrant nightclubs in Europe, attracting young people and international tourists.
Besides its vibrant nightlife, Ibiza boasts stunning beaches with crystal-clear waters, quaint fishing villages, and UNESCO-recognized cultural heritage sites.
