Ca Mau province launches campaign to plant flowers and build ecological urban landscapes.
On the morning of May 23rd, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dat Mui commune, in coordination with various units and the People's Committees of the hamlets, organized the launching ceremony of the "Joining Hands for Volunteer Saturday" campaign in 2026, carrying out activities such as planting flowers along roads, cleaning the environment, clearing bushes, and building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscape.

The Ca Mau Provincial Police Department launched the "Tree Planting Festival in Eternal Gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh" in 2026.
Ca Mau simultaneously launched the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" campaign.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu, President of the Women's Union of Dat Mui commune, launched a campaign to plant trees and flowers to create a "bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe" environment.
At the launching ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Kieu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dat Mui commune and Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the commune, called for the involvement of the entire political system, people, businesses, and students to actively participate in planting trees and preserving the environmental landscape; raising awareness of responsibility in protecting the living environment, making environmental protection a shared responsibility of the whole society.
At the same time, encourage people to actively participate in environmental sanitation, planting flowers and trees; collect and sort waste at the source, dispose of waste in designated places, and limit the use of non-biodegradable plastic products and plastic bags in daily life and production.
Numerous officials and residents participated in planting trees and flowers, working together to build Dat Mui commune into a modern, eco-friendly urban area.
Following the launching ceremony, more than 150 officials, civil servants, employees, armed forces personnel, and members of the Party branches and people's committees of the hamlets participated in planting and replanting over 5,000 pots of bougainvillea along a 7-kilometer stretch of road from Rach Tau Bridge to the Ca Mau Cape Tourist Area Management Board; they also collected waste and cleared bushes along the roads.
Local officials and residents participated in weeding and planting flowers along the Ho Chi Minh Highway.
In addition to planting flowers and cleaning up the area, the forces also educated the public on raising awareness of environmental protection, discouraging littering, and ensuring proper waste collection and disposal.
