Exceeding the initial expectation, the program examined and provided health care for more than 1,300 people. Nearly 40 doctors and nurses from major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City maintained their professional rhythm, coordinating smoothly between the specialties: Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Imaging, Dentistry, Pharmacy, etc.
More than 50 essential medicines have been carefully selected by DHG Pharma, meeting Japan GMP and EU-GMP standards, supporting people with high blood pressure, diabetes, cough and cold medicines, anti-inflammatory drugs, vitamin and calcium supplements for adults and children.
There are diseases that are only detected when a doctor listens to the heartbeat, when the numbers appear on the blood pressure monitor, or when the image appears clearly on the ultrasound screen. Through examination and ultrasound, doctors have recorded that Ia Nan people suffer from many chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, fatty liver, kidney stones, gastritis, osteoarthritis, etc.
Dr. Bui Thi Tuong Vi - Ultrasound doctor of the team - said: " I recorded many cases of fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis and kidney failure - including patients who needed immediate dialysis. The main cause comes from eating habits: people eat a lot of salt and drink alcohol regularly. We recommend that people should have regular health check-ups, especially regular blood pressure measurements to detect chronic diseases early, especially high blood pressure due to eating salt - which is very common in people in this area."
While performing the role of ultrasound and examining patients, Dr. Pham Tran Van Hoi was impressed: " Today we performed 5 ultrasounds, and it was surprising that 2 cases discovered they were pregnant without even knowing it. There was a case of twins while the mother already had 3 children and thought it was just a late period according to the lunar calendar. When the ultrasound was performed, it was discovered that the fetus was 15 weeks old. This shows that this place needs more attention to reproductive health care."

Dr. Trinh Ngoc Binh expressed: " When I joined the examination team, I was very moved. Many people had never known what a medical station was, let alone been to a hospital. I was especially impressed with the way DHG Pharma prepared medicine - not only for the right disease, for local needs, but also showing practical understanding and a heart to accompany the sick."
Doctors also advise on health care habits, proper medication use to treat common illnesses such as fever, diarrhea, and ways to improve nutrition - change the diet with foods that can be grown and raised right in the home garden...

The Ia Nan Commune Red Cross Society awarded the "Golden Heart" Certificate to express gratitude for the companionship of DHG Pharma, AloBacsi and Daisy Media - the units that have contributed to bringing healthcare closer to people in border areas (Photo: DHG Pharma).
Mr. Hoang Minh Cong - Chairman of the Red Cross Society of Duc Co district, Gia Lai province shared: "Ia Nan commune has more than 60% of the population being Gia Rai people . The lives of people here are still very difficult, mainly farming. But in recent years, unstable agricultural prices have caused many families to fall into hunger.
Most of the people still have limited access to medical care, equipment, doctors, and not everyone has insurance. Therefore, when we heard that the medical team from AloBacsi and DHG Pharma came to examine patients, we were very happy. We really just hope that the people can be examined and cared for, to alleviate some of the hardships in the border area."

The community health care buses of DHG Pharma, AloBacsi and Daisy Media will continue to roll - continue to write kind stories, go to many new lands, to touch people's hearts by listening, sharing and accompanying - for a healthier Vietnam every day (Photo: DHG Pharma).
The journey in Ia Nan commune ended, but also opened many doors - for modern medicine to gradually penetrate into remote, isolated, and border areas.
