(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The youth movement to join hands in building new rural areas is one of the key tasks in implementing the annual youth union and youth movement program. The provincial youth union has organized many meaningful movements and campaigns to promote the promoting role of youth in building new rural areas, thereby significantly contributing to the construction and development of localities.

Responding to the peak day of volunteering to join hands in building the new rural areas deployed by the Provincial Youth Union, in localities in the province, many activities in response to the peak day have been carried out by the Youth Union with many specific and practical tasks. In particular, focusing on activities such as: Joining hands to protect the environment, cleaning up every Saturday and Sunday; implementing the model of "Youth Incubator"; building activity and entertainment spots for young people and children; maintaining the models of "Self-managed Youth Route for Security and Order", "Residential Areas without Young People with Social Evils"; supporting young people in digital transformation in production, business and economic development, startups; organizing teams of young intellectuals to volunteer to build the new rural areas...

In Quang Chieu commune, a large number of union members and young people joined the peak day of volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas, including collecting waste; cleaning the environment in village roads, alleys, and hamlets; and providing free medicine to people in Pu Dua and Cum villages.

In Tho Lap commune, in order to create green - clean - beautiful roads, the members and youths painted and recreated the beauty of natural scenery and daily life on the walls of the Cultural House of Village 1, Village 2, Phuc Boi and Village 13 with a total length of nearly 100m. Each painting on the wall after being completed with meaningful messages has contributed to raising the awareness and responsibility of each member, youth as well as the people to join hands to protect the environment, maintain traffic order and safety, prevent school violence; encourage people to join hands to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas in the locality.

Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Le Van Chau said: The enthusiastic atmosphere of volunteering to join hands in building new rural areas has been contributing to changing the appearance of localities. At the same time, through the projects and tasks, it also contributesto educate , orienting a good lifestyle, building the image of young people who are responsible to society, ready to take the initiative and volunteer for the community.

According to lines to the report of the Provincial Youth Union, responding to and launching the peak day in particular, and implementing the New Rural Construction program in general, in the first 6 months of 2025, the provincial Youth Unions organized 2,752 propaganda activities, built 32km of lighting, 15 model roads, 9 rural traffic routes; supported the repair of 35 cultural houses, 14 temporary houses; implemented 60 technology transfer activities, and established 35 new economic development youth clubs, bringing the total number to 219 clubs.

Volunteer work to participate in building civilized urban areas has been deployed synchronously, in line with local practices. The whole province has organized 329 propaganda activities, established 98 youth volunteer teams to participate in propaganda, mobilizing people to practice civilized urban lifestyle. Youth Union chapters at all levels have repaired and maintained 1,242 roads and alleys, built 4 new roads meeting the criteria of "bright - green - clean - beautiful - civilized - safe", contributing to improving the urban appearance, raising community awareness in maintaining order, hygiene, and urban beauty.

Volunteer work to participate in environmental protection and climate change response has been widely and practically implemented. The whole province organized 62 training courses, maintained 586 youth volunteer teams, carried out 126 youth projects on environmental protection and climate change response; mobilized 85,222 youths to join the Green Sunday launched by the Central Youth Union and the Provincial Youth Union; planted 269,388 new trees, reaching 61.5% of the year's target.

Responding to the Campaign to support housing construction according to Directive No. 22 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the provincial Youth Union at all levels mobilized 133 youth teams to support 136 poor households and policy families to repair and build new houses with a total resource of over 1.7 billion VND.

In order for the movement to join hands in building new rural areas to continue to be effectively implemented, the Provincial Youth Union has directed the groundswell youth unions to promote their youth, spirit and intelligence to participate in solving difficulties in rural areas, especially implementing activities to support farmers in applying digital transformation and exploiting the potential of the digital economy in production management, promoting and promoting trade of local agricultural products and OCOP products. Along with that, join hands with units and localities to effectively carry out the tasks of building rural infrastructure, lighting up rural roads; participate in planting trees and flowers along the roads; helping people raise awareness of environmental protection, collecting waste, building hygienic toilets and clean water facilities...
