The 2025 National Boxing Championship took place from October 4 to 12 in Ho Chi Minh City, attracting nearly 400 athletes from 29 participating delegations. The boxers competed in 54 weight classes in two age groups: 17-18 and 19-40 (championship).
In the women's category, the 17-18 age group, Hanoi's athletes ranked first with 3 gold medals, 1 silver medal, and 4 bronze medals. In the women's championship, Hanoi's team ranked first with 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. Second was An Giang's team with 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal. Third was Ho Chi Minh City's team with 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal, and 1 bronze medal. In the end, Hanoi was the overall leader in the women's category.

The Hanoi boxing team currently has two Olympic boxers, Nguyen Thi Tam and Ha Thi Linh. Notably, Nguyen Thi Tam - the boxer who won a ticket to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021), became the first Vietnamese female boxer to participate in this arena.
She also won the silver medal at the 2023 World Women's Boxing Championship, setting a new milestone for Vietnamese boxing. Unfortunately, the injury she suffered at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 forced Nguyen Thi Tam to undergo long-term treatment, losing many opportunities to compete internationally. She has only recently returned to competing at a high intensity.
The gold medal in the 52 kg category at the 2025 National Boxing Championship is an affirmation of Nguyen Thi Tam's strong comeback. However, she is still careful in training to avoid re-injury and continue her journey to compete at the top level.
In the women's 63 kg category, boxer - mother of two Ha Thi Linh continued to show outstanding performance to win the Gold Medal for Hanoi boxing. Ha Thi Linh won a ticket to the 2024 Paris Olympics and won a Bronze Medal at the 2025 World Boxing Championships.
In the men's championship, the Army boxers also showed their superior strength when they won 8 gold medals, 3 silver medals and 2 bronze medals; second place went to Ho Chi Minh City (1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, 5 bronze medals).
