On the afternoon of May 28th, at the Oasis area (An Xuyen ward), Ca Mau province solemnly held a series of events of special significance: the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a memorial temple for heroic martyrs and meritorious individuals; the commencement of construction of 1,000 houses for poor, near-poor, and disadvantaged households; and the acceptance of support for the construction of 3 medical stations and a Youth Park donated by Dong Nai province. This series of activities left a strong impression of gratitude, sharing, and the determination to care for the lives of the people in the southernmost region of the country.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Minh Tri - Member of the Politburo , Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Mr. Bui Van Nghiem - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee; Ms. Ton Ngoc Hanh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Dong Nai City; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, along with current and former leaders of the province from various periods, representatives of departments, agencies, businesses, policy beneficiary families, relatives of martyrs, and a large number of people.
Spreading revolutionary traditions

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, emphasized that Ca Mau is a land rich in revolutionary traditions, a place that bears witness to many glorious victories in the resistance wars to protect the Fatherland. On this southernmost land, countless outstanding sons and daughters from all over the country have fought, contributed, and bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.
According to the Chairman of Ca Mau province, in order to commemorate the great contributions of the heroic martyrs and those who have rendered meritorious services to the country, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has agreed on the policy of investing in the construction of the Memorial Temple for Heroic Martyrs and Meritorious People of Ca Mau province in An Xuyen ward.
The project covers an area of approximately 2.7 hectares with a total investment of about 342 billion VND from socialized funding, corporate sponsorships, and philanthropists. The complex includes many important components such as: a memorial temple, a long corridor of commemorative plaques listing approximately 40,000 historical figures, a traditional house, a reception house, a symbolic monument, a landscaped lake, commemorative steles, a flagpole, a shrine to the Earth God, and a comprehensive technical infrastructure system.
Simultaneously, the oasis area surrounding the project also received investment in infrastructure such as protective embankments, pedestrian walkways along the embankment, bridges connecting to the western island area, and water supply and drainage systems, with a total cost of approximately 340 billion VND from the State budget.
"This is not only a large-scale spiritual architectural project but also a sacred symbol of profound gratitude; a place for educating present and future generations about revolutionary traditions," Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi emphasized.

The project is expected to become a significant site for traditional education, where officials, Party members, and the people can express their profound respect and gratitude to those who sacrificed for their homeland and country.
Besides expressing gratitude, Ca Mau province continues to pay special attention to social welfare tasks, especially the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for disadvantaged people.
In 2025, the entire province supported more than 9,600 households in building and repairing houses with a total budget of over 471 billion VND, exceeding the planned schedule. This included 3,715 houses for families of war heroes and martyrs; 5,425 houses for poor and near-poor households; and 531 houses for ethnic minority households.
However, according to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, the lives of a segment of the population in remote areas still face many difficulties, especially regarding housing. Therefore, the province continues to mobilize social resources to start construction of an additional 1,000 houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households with difficult circumstances.
"This program has profound humanitarian significance, contributing to helping people settle down and make a living, gradually rising out of poverty sustainably," Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi affirmed.
“The projects and gifts that Dong Nai province has presented to Ca Mau province not only have immense material value but also demonstrate the close ties, deep affection, and spirit of sharing between the two localities. The Party Committee, government, and people of Ca Mau province will always cherish, preserve, maintain, and effectively utilize these projects,” said Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, on behalf of the leaders of Ca Mau province, expressing sincere and profound gratitude to the Party Committee, government, and people of Dong Nai province.
The bond of friendship between Dong Nai and Ca Mau

One of the highlights of the series of events was the handover of social welfare projects supported by Dong Nai City to Ca Mau Province.
In the healthcare sector, with support from Dong Nai City, Ca Mau province has surveyed and selected three health stations to be built in Dat Mui, Hung My, and Ninh Thanh Loi communes, with a total budget of approximately 112 billion VND. These are all remote and disadvantaged areas facing difficulties in terms of transportation and healthcare.
In addition, Dong Nai city also supported the construction of the Youth Park in Tan Thanh ward, covering an area of approximately 2.51 hectares with a total investment of about 150 billion VND. The highlight of the project is the Ca Mau Crab symbol placed in the center, connecting with the square and the Children's Palace area, creating a modern community space for young people.
In the coming time, the Dong Nai City delegation will also conduct a survey to support the construction of a display space for typical cultural and tourism products of Dong Nai at Dat Mui, contributing to promoting the image, culture and unique products of the locality to domestic and international tourists.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai City, affirmed that Ca Mau is not only the sacred southernmost land of the Fatherland but also a symbol of the indomitable will, unwavering spirit, and strong aspiration for progress of the people of the Southwestern region.

According to Ms. Hoang, despite many difficulties regarding healthcare infrastructure, social welfare, and conditions for caring for the lives of people in remote areas, Ca Mau province is always striving to overcome challenges, maintain stability, and promote socio-economic development.
"The Party Committee, the government, and the people of Dong Nai city will always stand alongside Ca Mau province in its development journey," said Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang.
The series of events in Ca Mau not only commemorates historical events but also vividly demonstrates the spirit of great unity and solidarity among the Party Committee, government, people, and business community in caring for people's lives and promoting sustainable development.
From projects honoring previous generations to charitable homes for the poor; from the sharing of resources from neighboring localities to the determination of the entire political system, all have created a meaningful mark on the southernmost region of the Fatherland - where compassion, responsibility, and the aspiration for development are strongly intertwined.
