Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as a target for Manchester United after an impressive 2024/25 campaign. |
According to The Times , Brentford see Ipswich Town winger Hutchinson as a possible replacement for Mbeumo, who is reportedly on the verge of joining Manchester United. The move comes as Manchester United prepare to make a decisive bid for Mbeumo.
Hutchinson, a former Chelsea and Arsenal player, has also made a return to London and a move to Brentford his priority, given his youth and affordability. With Brentford appointing new manager Keith Andrews, Hutchinson is expected to play a key role in the squad, particularly with Mbeumo leaving.
Hutchinson's family now live in London, so he is excited by the prospect of joining Brentford, who have already signed Antoni Milambo (midfielder from Feyenoord), Caoimhin Kelleher (goalkeeper from Liverpool), Michael Kayode (defender from Fiorentina), and Jordan Henderson (former Liverpool captain, signed on a two-year deal after leaving Ajax 12 months early).
However, Hutchinson is seen as an important signing for the team's attack, providing a creative outlet to replace Mbeumo. The Cameroon striker is very close to joining Manchester United, with the "Red Devils" planning to increase the price to buy the player this week.
Previously, two offers from MU were rejected, the most recent of which was worth £55 million plus £7.5 million in additional fees. Brentford remained steadfast with their desired price of £70 million.
