Heartbreaking: 3 students drowned in the Tra Khuc River.

VHO - On the morning of May 23, leaders of Truong Giang commune, Quang Ngai province, confirmed that a tragic drowning incident had occurred in the area, resulting in the deaths of three students.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of May 22nd, NTQN (born in 2015, residing in Hamlet 2, Minh Trung Village) was driving an electric motorbike carrying NQQ (born in 2013) and NTH (born in 2015), both residing in the same locality, to the Tra Khuc River area in Hamlet 4, Minh Khanh Village to swim.

While swimming in the river, all three children unfortunately drowned and went missing.

Around 6:00 AM on May 23rd, residents discovered the body of N. in Hamlet 2, Minh Thanh Village, and the body of Q. in Hamlet 4, Minh Khanh Village. After an urgent search, the authorities found the body of the remaining child.

Immediately after receiving the report, local authorities, police, rescue forces, and a large number of people arrived at the scene to organize a search for the victims.

The incident has shocked and saddened many local residents. The Truong Giang commune authorities are coordinating with the families to arrange the funerals for the children, and are also continuing to advise people to strengthen supervision of children during the summer holidays to prevent tragic drowning accidents.
