Fight against illegal immigration

To deploy the peak of the fight against illegal entry and exit to ensure security and order under the direction of the Ministry of Public Security , especially during major holidays of the country and the province, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, communes and wards to focus on strictly implementing the Party's regulations, policies and laws of the State and the province's direction on immigration management for cadres, party members and people.

The provincial police have strengthened the work of grasping the situation, managing immigration, checking and managing the residence and activities of foreigners, especially in areas with a large number of foreigners residing and operating; proactively preventing, detecting and handling Vietnamese citizens and foreigners who violate immigration laws, in conjunction with effectively implementing peak periods of attacking and suppressing crimes in the province. Effectively organizing the movement "All people protect national security" in conjunction with preventing and combating illegal immigration.

The Provincial Military Command directed the Border Guard to preside over and coordinate with relevant forces to strengthen patrols and strictly control the border and border gate areas, promptly detect, prevent and handle illegal exit and entry acts according to their functions, tasks and provisions of law; organize the maintenance of security, order and social safety in border areas and border gates.

The Department of Home Affairs shall strengthen coordination with relevant agencies and units to advise the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the implementation of inspections, checks and handling of violations according to the provisions of law on recruitment and management of foreign workers. Coordinate in providing information on the issuance, re-issuance, extension and revocation of work permits and certificates of non-work permit issuance for foreign workers in the area when requested. At the same time, preside over and coordinate with sectors in receiving and processing information on foreign delegations coming to work in Son La ; Son La citizens arrested, returned or violating the law abroad to promptly advise the province to allow delegations to work and operate in Son La; rescue, protect and receive Son La citizens arrested or returned by foreign countries; manage foreign delegations according to the reception program approved by competent authorities; Exchange and notify competent authorities in handling cases of violations of Vietnamese law.

Communes and wards in the province should enhance their responsibility, actively and proactively grasp the local situation, resolutely prevent and combat illegal entry and exit activities, not allowing complicated developments to occur; clearly define the responsibilities of departments, offices, units and individuals in implementation, resolutely consider and handle responsibilities of organizations and individuals who let loose management and assist illegal entry and exit activities. Mobilize the strength of the entire political system at the grassroots level; promote the role of grassroots security forces and self-managed security and order groups, public broadcasting systems, public security cameras, and community Zalo groups in propaganda to raise awareness, responsibility, and vigilance of the masses in preventing, detecting, denouncing, and combating illegal entry and exit activities and illegal residence in the area. Regularly monitor the situation of foreigners staying, especially at motels, boarding houses, and rental apartments. Resolutely not allowing foreigners to enter illegally or reside illegally in the area.
