Promoting connectivity, viewed from the perspective of transport infrastructure development

Implementing the merger of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces into the new Bac Ninh province from July 1, an urgent requirement is to connect, interconnect, and create momentum for socio-economic development, in which the Transport sector plays a leading role. The Provincial People's Committee has directed the acceleration, completion, and exploitation and use of important traffic and transport projects and works as soon as possible.

Currently, the Department of Construction is selecting a unit to participate in providing public passenger transport services by subsidized electric buses in Bac Ninh province in the period of 2025 - 2034 (Bac Ninh - Bac Giang route), with 64 trips/day, peak hour frequency of 10-15 minutes/trip; off-peak hour of 20-25 minutes/trip, optimally meeting the travel needs of local people, especially the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the province who come to work in Bac Giang right after the merger into the new Bac Ninh province. This is a great effort in solving travel needs, reducing the load on personal vehicles, ensuring traffic safety and order, social order, promoting the strong and synchronous development of the intra-provincial and inter-provincial transport system, increasing connectivity and trade of goods.
Along with completing a modern and synchronous public transport network, Bac Ninh is focusing on implementing highly connected transport projects, typically the provincial road projects DT.295C, DT.285B connecting Bac Ninh city through industrial parks with the new National Highway 3; DT.277B connecting with Ha Bac 2 bridge, Ring Road 4. This is a key project, not only providing convenient transportation, but also taking on the responsibility of connecting industrial parks, connecting industrial production chains and economic zones between Bac Ninh - Bac Giang into a key industrial zone of the country. The project is being accelerated, striving to be completed in 2025, meeting the goals and socio-economic development strategies of the province.
In particular, the technical opening of the arterial route DT.277B connecting with Ha Bac 2 bridge, Ring Road 4 is located in the project complex of provincial roads, helping to form dynamic "industrial capitals" of the North, concentrating many large-scale industrial parks and being the production headquarters of the world's leading economic groups such as: Samsung, Amkor, Goertek, Foxconn in the districts of Yen Phong (Bac Ninh), Viet Yen, Hiep Hoa (Bac Giang).
At the opening ceremony of DT.277B route, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized: The completion and opening of DT.277B route and putting into use Ha Bac 2 bridge have a strategic significance, creating a strong driving force to connect the industrial production chain between the two localities, forming a key industrial zone with leading competitiveness in the country. Looking further, when the two provinces merge, according to the plan, there will be 12 bridges across the Cau River. This will be an important premise for planning and developing a modern, synchronous industrial city along the Cau River, promising potential for future development with a hundred-year vision.
Playing the role of the lifeblood of the economy, "transportation goes first to pave the way", Bac Ninh continues to aim for the goal of building a synchronous and modern transport infrastructure, approaching smart cities in the world, opening up new development space for a dynamic Bac Ninh, deeply integrated with the region and the world.
