A survey at major markets and supermarkets in Bac Ninh province shows that the number of people shopping and using food services in inner-city areas such as wards: Bac Giang , Da Mai, Nenh, Kinh Bac, Vo Cuong, Tu Son, etc. has increased. A representative of GO! Bac Giang Supermarket said that purchasing power at the Supermarket in recent days has increased by more than 10% compared to September 2nd last year.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Director of Winmart Bac Ninh Supermarket, said that the number of customers coming to shop at the Supermarket on September 2 this year increased by 15%-20% compared to the same period last year.

At large, modern shopping centers such as Vincom Bac Ninh and Vincom Bac Giang, there are also many customers coming to visit, shop and eat. It is known that the number of visitors to these two shopping centers has doubled compared to normal days.

Although the number of shoppers is large and the goods consumed is high, the prices of goods are stable and the supply is abundant. For example, good pork at markets such as Nenh (Nenh ward), Ngo Quyen (Bac Giang ward), Yen (Kinh Bac ward) all have an average price of 120,000 VND/kg, equivalent to the normal price.

Total retail sales of goods and service revenue in August is estimated at nearly 11.8 trillion VND, up 19.63% over the same period last year.

The above results were achieved because, in addition to the growth of the economy, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and related departments, branches, enterprises and cooperatives had plans to supply essential goods from the beginning of the year. At the same time, they strengthened solutions to prevent and combat trade fraud, stabilize the market and promote trade and consumption of domestic goods.
