Speed ​​up site clearance for the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1

On the afternoon of September 29, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the site clearance work of the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 (intersection with the extended Vo Van Kiet Street and the residential service road system along the route).

On the afternoon of September 29, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on site clearance work for the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 (intersection with the extended Vo Van Kiet Street and the residential service road system along the route).

Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee gave a speech at the meeting.

According to the Department of Construction, by September 25, for the intersection item, the People's Committee of Tan Ngai Ward had completed the investigation, survey, measurement, and counting work, and is expected to organize the review and approval to establish a compensation and resettlement support plan on September 30, 2025.

Regarding the determination of specific land prices, the Ward People's Committee is continuing to coordinate with relevant units to implement the next steps. For the technical infrastructure relocation item (220kV high-voltage power line), the Land Fund Development Center has coordinated with the design consultant, Tan Ngai Ward People's Committee and My Thuan Project Management Board to conduct a field survey and have determined and handed over the coordinates to My Thuan Project Management Board. On September 25, 2025, My Thuan Project Management Board issued a document on updating and adjusting the planning of 2 220kV power pole locations under the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1. Currently, the Land Fund Development Center is implementing the next steps.

Regarding the project of the residential road system, the People's Committee of Tan Ngai ward held a meeting with people in the area where land was recovered, preparing to issue a notice of land recovery.

Regarding land acquisition in My Thuan commune, the People's Committee of the commune has announced land acquisition and is taking steps to develop a compensation and resettlement plan. The Land Fund Development Center and regional project management boards are completing the documents to send to the locality to finalize the land acquisition costs in accordance with regulations.

The Department of Construction proposed that the Provincial People's Committee soon approve the site clearance sub-project of the My Thuan - Can Tho Expressway Construction Investment Project, Phase 1 (intersection with the extended Vo Van Kiet Street and the residential service road system along the route) to serve as a basis for implementing the next steps.

Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities should strengthen coordination in implementation, determined to speed up the site clearance work and the settlement of site clearance costs in accordance with regulations. By the end of October 2025, the site will be handed over to the construction unit to start the project.
