So that everyone, every family can have Tet

Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", together with the Party Committee, the government, the Red Cross Society of Da Nang City has deployed the movement "Charitable Tet" to spread widely in the community, contributing to encouraging the spirit of the disadvantaged in society, and celebrating Spring and Tet with the people.

Hoa Nhon Commune Red Cross Society responds to the "Compassionate Tet" movement

In the days before Tet, Red Cross volunteers of Khue My Ward arranged time to visit, clean the house and give gifts to Mrs. Le Thi Thuong. She is over 90 years old this year, currently living with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her family is in difficult circumstances. This year, Mrs. Thuong could not hide her joy when the three of them were able to celebrate Tet in a new house built with support from the Party Committee and the authorities of Khue My Ward.

In Hoa Nhon commune, Hoa Vang district, CTĐ members also gathered together to wrap 300 banh tet and banh chung to give to poor households; at the same time, they bought essential necessities to organize a free Tet market to give 170 gifts to people in lonely elderly households and disabled children to help them have more joy when spring comes.

To have the fragrant cakes with the smell of new sticky rice, the members of the Red Cross Association, along with the ladies, woke up at 4am to wrap and cook the cakes. For them, participating in humanitarian activities like this is a joy and happiness.

The "Compassionate Tet" movement launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society , implemented starting from 2023, is the inheritance and promotion of the achievements of the "Tet for the poor and Agent Orange victims" movement.

In addition to the Charity Tet Fair, the City Red Cross Society mobilizes all levels of the association to organize activities such as: Spring for children for children being treated for serious illnesses, giving free Tet bus tickets to people in difficult circumstances, painting houses for the poor and homeless... thereby extending the loving arms, bringing a warm Tet to the poor and people in difficult circumstances in the city.

In the bustling atmosphere of the approaching new spring, with meaningful activities from the program "Tet Nhan Ai - Joining hands to share with the community to welcome a happy Tet" will be an exciting start, creating momentum for the movement "Tet Nhan Ai" 2025 in Da Nang city in particular and the whole country in general to be deployed and achieve many good results. Contributing to spreading in the community the values of humanity, kindness, and love between people./.
