The police in Hac Thanh ward are raising awareness among the people about crime prevention and fire prevention and control.

Lieutenant Colonel Mai Anh Tien, Head of Hac Thanh Ward Police, stated: Recognizing that ensuring security and social order is a crucial task in socio -economic development, the ward police have proactively developed plans and advised local Party committees and authorities on numerous policies and solutions for maintaining security and order. In addition, the ward police assign officers and soldiers to closely monitor the local situation, regularly directing and guiding neighborhoods to effectively implement self-governing models for security and order to prevent and combat various types of crimes and social vices, contributing to the stability of security and order in the area. Simultaneously, they coordinate with ward agencies, organizations, and neighborhoods to continuously innovate and diversify methods of disseminating and educating the public on the law; listening to people's opinions and suggestions, thereby resolving incidents at the grassroots level and preventing them from escalating into "hot spots" of security and order issues.

With a proactive approach to early and distant prevention, the Nhu Thanh Commune Police have assigned tasks to each officer to thoroughly understand the area, review and identify key issues requiring focused resolution. Simultaneously, they have developed and implemented a plan to ensure security and order as directed by the Provincial Police, deploying professional measures and mobilizing maximum resources to combat crime. In addition, the commune police have organized households to sign commitments "not to store, transport, or detonate firecrackers," and "not to have children or relatives who violate the law"; proactively detect and strictly handle violations; and intensify propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to surrender weapons and homemade guns. They have also closely coordinated with the people regarding the installation and extraction of images from surveillance cameras when incidents occur, contributing to ensuring security and order in the area. As a result, the security situation in the commune has improved significantly, crime and social vices are under control, the number of law violations has decreased; and no hotspots or complex incidents have arisen.

To effectively maintain security and order at the grassroots level, the provincial police force annually advises and proposes to the Party Committee and the government the issuance of resolutions, programs, and plans on the implementation of security and order tasks, launching the movement of the entire population protecting national security, and further improving the quality of mobilizing the people to actively fight against and report crimes. In addition, the provincial police force proactively coordinates with organizations and associations to widely disseminate laws among the people, launching the movement of the entire population protecting national security in conjunction with the implementation of the "All people unite to build a cultured life in residential areas" campaign and the New Rural Development movement. This has raised awareness and the spirit of fighting crime, providing valuable information to help the police force combat, prevent, and handle incidents promptly at the grassroots level.

In addition, the police force has strengthened state management of security and order, strictly managed residency, and regularly inspected and reminded businesses operating under security and order regulations, thereby detecting and severely punishing acts of exploiting these establishments to violate the law. At the same time, they have done a good job of gathering information on the area, compiling lists, classifying, questioning, and educating individuals who have completed their prison sentences and those with a potential risk of violating the law... in order to implement general preventive and deterrent measures.

The synchronized implementation of professional measures has contributed to curbing the activities of various types of crime, gradually reducing the number of criminal offenses, and successfully investigating and clarifying many major cases, earning praise and high appreciation from the public. In 2024 alone, there were over 1,400 cases of social order crimes involving nearly 2,300 perpetrators, a decrease of nearly 25.5% in cases and 18% in perpetrators compared to the same period in 2023. Some prominent types of crimes, accounting for a high percentage of the overall crime structure, included: intentional infliction of injury (down 34%), murder (down 45.8%), theft (down 36.4%), and fraud (down 38.3%) compared to 2023. In the first six months of 2025, the police force detected 463 cases involving 975 perpetrators of social order crimes, a decrease of 314 cases (40.4%) compared to the same period in 2024. Within this, intentional infliction of injury crimes decreased by nearly 45%, murder by 50%, theft by 38%, and fraud by nearly 43%.

To effectively prevent and combat various types of crimes and social vices at the grassroots level, contributing to maintaining peace and security for the people, the police force in the province has been advising local Party committees and authorities to issue directives on ensuring security and order. At the same time, they proactively develop and implement plans to organize intensive campaigns to effectively combat various types of crimes and social vices. Emphasis is placed on improving the effectiveness of state management of security and order, doing a good job of managing residency, and promptly detecting and resolving internal conflicts among the people at the grassroots level.
