The test consists of two parts: Reading Comprehension (4 points) and Writing (6 points). The Reading Comprehension part uses the work Different Skylands by author Nguyen Minh Chau, then asks about the role of details and the effect of rhetorical devices.

The Writing section has two questions. The literary essay question requires candidates to analyze the feelings of the character Le for the character Son. As for the social essay, the question requires candidates to rely on the reading comprehension text and their understanding of the country's context of great changes to discuss the topic "any homeland's sky is the Fatherland's sky".

Expressing his interest in the Literature exam, Phan Trung Kien, a 12A3 student at Tran Bien High School, shared that he found the exam very interesting, open-ended, and did not force students to memorize as much as before. Because he regularly watches news programs on television and through newspapers, Kien knows that this year the country celebrates many major holidays, most recently the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification. Based on the knowledge he learned at school and updated information about major events, Kien is confident in doing the exam and hopes to get a high score.

“Recently, I have heard many leaders talk about the phrase “The era of national growth”. I based my writing on the reading material, my understanding of the country’s history and the current situation of the country,” said Bao Phuc.

Meanwhile, Vu Thao Nguyen, Tran Bien High School, commented that the Literature exam was impressive and within her ability. Nguyen liked the first part of the writing section the most because she had reviewed that topic many times.
