Literature exam for 10th grade specialized school in Hanoi about 'inner light of each person'

After two days of mass exams, on June 9, more than 13,000 Hanoi students continued to take the 10th grade specialized entrance exam to four schools, including Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, and Son Tay High School for the Gifted.

Four specialized schools in Hanoi enroll 2,730 students with a total of 78 specialized classes.

At the Chu Van An High School for the Gifted exam site on the morning of June 9, stepping out of the exam site, Xuan Diep happily said that this year's specialized literature exam was quite easy, did not challenge students, and felt comfortable when receiving the exam.

"In previous years, the literature exam required students to think more, but this year the exam questions are about the most basic issues of literature, closely following real life.

Question 1 requires writing thoughts about the light within each person - those who have the ability to think in open questions will do very well in this part. With question 2 (6 points) focusing on literary knowledge, students who have a firm grasp of the theories and nature of literature can do well. As for me, I am confident of getting over 8 points," said Xuan Diep.

Similarly, Phuong Thanh commented that this year's literature exam was quite good, and she found herself right from question 1 of the exam.

"The personal aspect in question 1 is very high, I really like it. Question 2 highly values the student's learning ability," Phuong Thanh said and predicted that she would get about 8 points.

This year, each specialized school will recruit 70 students for the literature subject. Of these, Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted has the highest competition ratio for the first choice at 1/11.10, followed by Chu Van An High School for the Gifted at 1/10.70. Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted has a competition ratio of 1/5.70, and Son Tay High School for the Gifted has a competition ratio of 1/4.39.

In particular, the Chinese language class of Chu Van An High School for the Gifted has the fiercest competition when the school recruits 35 students but has 856 applications for the first choice, a competition ratio of more than 1/24. The Russian language class of Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted has a competition ratio of 1/21.6.

This morning, candidates took math, literature and foreign languages other than English. In the afternoon, candidates took natural sciences , history and geography and English. All specialized subjects have 150 minutes to complete.
