FROM AWARENESS TO CONCRETE ACTION
Following the merger of the trade union organizations of Dong Thap and Tien Giang provinces, the entire province now has 751 grassroots trade unions and basic labor unions with 201,857 members and workers.

This large workforce is active in a wide range of sectors, from industrial manufacturing, healthcare, and education to the informal labor sector.
In the context of digital transformation, the increasing demands of the labor market, and the pressures of life for workers, putting Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW into practice is no easy task.
If we only focus on propaganda and formal education, it will be difficult to bring about a change in awareness and action.
Based on that reality, the trade union branches at all levels in Dong Thap province have strongly reformed their implementation methods, focusing on union members and workers.
Learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example is not separate from daily life but is linked to issues that concern workers, such as employment, income, housing, working environment, welfare, and sharing in times of difficulty.
Over the past five years, the entire province has organized more than 3,400 propaganda campaigns, attracting over 420,000 union members and workers. A notable point is the increased application of digital technology .
From Zalo and Facebook groups of grassroots trade unions to short videos, infographics, and livestreams, the content of studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings has become closer to workers, especially in non-state enterprises.
Beyond simply raising awareness, learning from President Ho Chi Minh has been concretized through practical actions aimed at supporting workers. Over the past five years, more than 1 million union members and workers have received support and care with a total budget exceeding 500 billion VND. 535 "Union Member's Shelter" houses have been built or renovated with a total cost of over 25.6 billion VND.
In many workers' dormitories, "Self-managed worker groups" maintain regular activities. Union meals after work not only provide workers with a nutritious meal but also serve as an opportunity for sharing and bonding between workers and the trade union organization.
From studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, many new models have emerged, such as: "Trade Union Supermarket selling goods on a non-profit basis," "Workers with 5 No's," "Happy Bus," "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space," etc.
Although each model has a different approach, they all aim to better care for union members and workers.
The atmosphere of competitive and creative work has also spread strongly throughout agencies, units, and businesses.
The entire province has over 45,000 recognized technical innovations and improvements; more than 600 completed projects and products have generated a total benefit of over 120 billion VND.
Many initiatives not only bring economic benefits but also contribute to improving the working environment and enhancing the lives of workers.
SPREADING APPROACHABLE MODELS
At the Trade Union of DOMESCO Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Company, learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example is not expressed through slogans, but through concrete actions that are close to the workers.

Ms. Ho Thi Kim Huong, Chairwoman of the Company's Trade Union, said that for many years, the Trade Union has consistently maintained activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of its members, such as: supporting members in difficult circumstances, organizing health check-ups, sightseeing trips, vacations, and cultural and sports activities.
In particular, the "DOMESCO Shelter" model has helped many union members in difficult circumstances stabilize their lives. Many workers who previously lived in cramped rented rooms now have small houses to live in thanks to the joint efforts of the enterprise and the trade union organization.
Driven by this spirit of sharing, the "Piggy Bank" model has been maintained for many years to support union members suffering from serious illnesses, to assist with the education of workers' children, and to care for those in difficult circumstances in the community.
The movement for creative labor competition within the enterprise has also developed strongly. Each year, more than 20 technical innovation initiatives are recognized, contributing to saving raw materials and increasing production efficiency.
According to the union leader, the most important thing is to create a united and stable working environment so that employees can feel secure and committed to the company in the long term.
In the healthcare sector, the Trade Union of Sa Dec General Hospital is one of the exemplary units that integrates the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings with improving the quality of patient care.
At the hospital, learning from President Ho Chi Minh is concretized in the smallest things, such as the attitude towards welcoming patients and the sense of responsibility in work, to promoting scientific research and improving technology.
During the period 2021-2026, the unit had 25 grassroots-level initiatives and 6 provincial-level initiatives recognized.
In particular, the initiative to use Google Apps Script to automate the email reminder process has helped reduce the pressure of manual management, minimize errors, and save significant time for the HR department.
What is commendable is that many initiatives stem from the practical needs of the hospital's staff in their daily work.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien, working at the Dong Thap Center for Disease Control, shared that learning from and following President Ho Chi Minh's example must begin with a sense of responsibility towards work and dedication to the community.
For many years, he and his unit have maintained health communication activities through accessible and engaging methods on social media, infographics, and visual materials.
During the pandemic, Comrade Dieu Hien and the union members in her unit participated in supporting the consumption of agricultural products for the people, mobilizing support for colleagues suffering from serious illnesses, and assisting in building "Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances.
"What I appreciate most about learning from President Ho Chi Minh is the spirit of responsibility and sharing. When each person does their job well and cares for those around them, positive things will spread," shared Comrade Nguyen Thi Dieu Hien.
According to Comrade Ngo Thi Thuy Trang, Vice President of the Provincial Labor Union, after 5 years of implementing Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW, the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings among union members and workers has seen many clear changes.
From learning to doing, from awareness to concrete action, many good models and effective methods have been replicated throughout the province.
To date, 250 collectives and individuals have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and 528 collectives and individuals have been commended for their efforts in studying and following the ideology, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh.
More importantly, the sense of responsibility, awareness of professional ethics, industrial work style, and commitment to the trade union organization are increasingly being enhanced among union members and workers.
In the coming period, provincial trade union levels will continue to innovate the content and methods of propaganda; promote digital transformation in trade union activities; promptly identify and replicate effective models; and link the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh with caring for the rights of union members and the creative labor emulation movement.
From compassionate homes and warm community meals to initiatives generating billions of dong in profits, the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings among workers and laborers in Dong Thap is gradually becoming a voluntary daily practice.
This also serves as a foundation for building a modern, responsible, and dedicated workforce, contributing to the province's rapid and sustainable development in the new era.
