According to Nhan Dan newspaper, on the morning of May 28th in Ho Chi Minh City, many gas stations were still selling A95 gasoline, and many people chose to refuel at stations that sold A95. Using biofuel is a trend, however, to gain public trust and support, the transition to using biofuel needs to be communicated more effectively.

When asked, people supported the government's "greening" policy; however, they need clear guidance on the standards of E10 gasoline, as well as its compatibility with various vehicles.

Dr. Tran Hoai Phong, an expert in marine oil tank inspection, stated: "Some materials in biofuel storage tanks differ from those in conventional gasoline tanks. Ensuring the precise ratio from the blending and storage stages will directly affect the operation of equipment and machinery. Therefore, the daily use of biofuels needs to be implemented in a synchronized manner."

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan, the implementation of the roadmap for using biofuels is not a decision that is imposed or restricts people's right to choose.

This policy stems from the need for sustainable development, ensuring energy security, protecting the environment, and fulfilling Vietnam's international commitments on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Mr. Dao Cong Quyet, Head of the Communications Subcommittee of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), also affirmed to the press: "Regarding communication with consumers, VAMA believes that coordination is needed between management agencies, fuel manufacturers, automobile manufacturers, and media agencies to provide scientific , transparent, and complete information to the public."

Fuel manufacturers also need to prepare and supply fuel that meets standards. Automotive companies, on the other hand, need to proactively explain and clearly share with customers the compatibility of each vehicle model."

According to experts, aiming to reduce emissions, thereby decreasing dependence on imported fossil fuels, promoting domestic consumption of biofuels, creating outlets for agricultural production, and enhancing national energy self-sufficiency is entirely the right approach.

Therefore, the transition will certainly be supported by the people once reassurance is built on a foundation of transparency based on scientific data and quantitative evidence.
