Visiting Da Nang for the first time during the Da Nang International Festival (DIFF), Ms. Nguyen Thi Hanh (a tourist from Hanoi ) said she had planned this trip more than a month in advance.
“My family chose Da Nang because we wanted to both relax and experience the famous fireworks festival. The atmosphere here is very different; it’s lively but still orderly, clean, and beautiful. My children have been constantly asking since this morning when we can see the fireworks,” Ms. Hanh shared.
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Van Tuan, a tourist from Quang Tri , said he really enjoyed watching the DIFF held in Da Nang.
“DIFF is not just about fireworks; it's also about the feeling of a true festival city. Everywhere you go, you see tourists, fun activities, art performances, and the friendliness of the people. That's what I love about Da Nang,” Mr. Tuan said.

According to observations, many tourists choose to experience watching the fireworks from cruise ships operating on the Han River. From late afternoon, the docks were bustling with passengers boarding the boats, creating a vibrant scene characteristic of each DIFF season.
Mr. Dinh Van Nga, an employee of a company that operates three tourist boats on the Han River, shared: “The number of customers registering to watch the fireworks on tourist boats is quite high. Many trips have been fully booked for days in advance, especially on the opening night.”
From the afternoon of May 30th, tourists were already present at the pier to complete boarding procedures, taking advantage of the opportunity to take photos, admire the scenery, and enjoy the festive atmosphere along the Han River.

According to Mr. Nga, enjoying the fireworks from the middle of the Han River offers a wide, unobstructed view and a unique experience, which is why many tourists choose this option.
Not only domestic tourists, but many international tour groups also booked tickets in advance to have the opportunity to admire the spectacular fireworks displays in the unique setting of the city by the river.

DIFF 2026, held from May 30th to July 11th with the theme "Da Nang - Connecting Horizons," brought together 10 fireworks teams from various countries and territories. The opening night, themed "Nature," featured a competition between the host team Da Nang (Vietnam) and the defending champion Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China).
As the sun set, crowds continued to flock to both sides of the Han River. Many tourists wore expressions of excitement, anticipating the moments when the Da Nang sky would light up with spectacular artistic performances...
