Ia Phi commune provides over 1 billion VND in support to farmers for high-quality rice production.

(GLO) - According to information from the Economic Department of Ia Phi commune (Gia Lai province), for the 2026 crop season, Ia Phi commune will provide over 1 billion VND in support to farmers for the production of high-quality rice.

According to a review by specialized agencies, Ia Phi commune currently has about 1,048 hectares of rice paddies, but rice production is still fragmented and small-scale; farmers mainly use old, degraded, and inconsistent varieties, resulting in low yields…

Based on the proposal of the specialized agency, in the 2026 crop season, the People's Committee of Ia Phi commune plans to support 1,200 households in cultivating approximately 368 hectares of wet rice with new high-yield, high-quality varieties, namely HG12 and TBR225.

In addition, the commune organized three training courses on techniques for sowing, caring for, fertilizing, and controlling pests and diseases using biological products to help people improve production efficiency.

With a total support budget of over 1 billion VND from the state budget, seeds are expected to be provided in June 2026 to enable people to start production in a timely manner.
